Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.
~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Remember that diversity and coexistence are Star Trek values. Any post/comments that are racist, anti-LGBT, or generally "othering" of a group will result in removal/ban.
~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.
~ 3. Use spoiler tags.
Use spoiler tags in comments, and NSFW checkbox for posts.
This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.
~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.
~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.
~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.
~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon'
~ 8. No Political Upheaval. Political commentary is allowed, but please keep discussions civil. Read here for our community's expectations.
Fun will now commence.

The discography of Beastie Boys, an American hip hop group, consists of eight studio albums, four compilation albums, five video albums, seven extended plays, 40 singles and 44 music videos
As of '86 (the year STIV came out) only Licensed to Ill had been released.
Correct :)
Oooooh she busted them hippies ass!
Did you just umm that guy that guy

Accuracy is debatable, though usually in the ballpark.
What in the bisexual sitting posture....
The whole season is littered with awkward sitting.

The producers were trying really hard to top Frakes' TNG chair game.
Oh my. Which new one is this?
Star Trek: Academy
Mixed bag, but I enjoyed it overall.
Not counting lower decks the last new trek I've watched was the early seasons of enterprise, when it was airing. It might be time to get caught up.
Strange New Worlds has been very good imo
Sabotage was on a later album, though?
That only adds to her suspicion that they are not who they seem.
ok. tough joke to follow. 2 later star trek movies used a long play of the track.
That's the joke.
Beating Futurama's prediction by a whole album
...I guess you guys aren't ready for that yet, but your kids are gonna love it.
“Like a pinch on the neck from Mister Spock!”
time loop
This meme really fails to capture Shatner's odd pronunciation of sabatoge.

Also, Maurice LaMarche's take on Shatner's pronunciation
Hahaha, thanks for that, I'd never noticed how he pronounced it!
Amazing. But the obvious response is "but your character could say SAB-U-TOJ'"...
They could try to say that, but they’d be wrong, since Shatner had had plenty of opportunities to establish Kirk’s preferred pronunciation by this point.
🤖Intergalactic planetary, planetary intergalactic. Another dimension, another dimension ...
Now; don't you tell me to smile!
I can't stand it...
I know you planned it!
What? They have several. Several GOOD ones! Check Your Head! Ill Communication! I don't get it...
Back in 86 (release of the 4th movie) they only had one album.
It came out a month before that scene takes place (November vs December 18). It's unlikely Dr Taylor would have heard of them yet.
That album wasn't their debut, they had singles and were touring prior to this including opening for Madonna. That album also had a million sales in around 12 week. I don't think t's that implausible.
Pfft, she was fly! She knew what was the fresh.
Casey Kasem's Top 40. Just maybe.
EDIT:
Nope. Didn't appear until 1/24/87

This is from Star Trek 4. The dude with the headband and the dude who looks like the guy from Boston Legal are playing time travelers from the future.
The joke is that they have heard the later albums, because they are from the future, but the woman thinks they're LARPing because they don't know how many albums they have released.
Paul's Boutique, License to Ill, Illcommunication. All good/great albums.
Whoosh
"They only have one album."
"And I love it!"
Wait until they hear Los Banditos
