Really great week then a rough day. Trying to spend today recovering by a nice walk and trying to get my homelab working. It didn't want to simply plug-n-play after a six month journey on a pallet.
The worst part of the week, I spent Friday applying for jobs. That was just pure pain. Really soul sucking as many of you know. I should change to Monday so I don't end the week with drudgery and self inflicted mental anguish. But, afford me a moment to vent and ponder.
I remember walking into places to hand in a resume. Circuit City, early Best Buy, a lunch place. Summer jobs. Before HR and ATS professionalized the job hunt into what it is today. Which sort of got me wondering.
What or who enshitified hiring?
How did we get to this impersonal nightmare? Who is the MBA or HR wonk that started this?Someone ping 404media for me I need answers.
