Notthst I'm cheating with other women (seriously who can be bothered) my phone is locked with my fingerprint. As much as we share a lot in life I have not given her copies of my fingerprints so she couldn't unlock the phone anyway. In theory she knows the passcode but since she asks me for it every single time she needs to use my phone I'm recently confident she doesn't retain it.

I use mine for music but I leave it outside of the shower, if a shit song comes on it's my fault for having it on the playlist
How long are you in the shower for that it plays more than one or two songs?
With most songs usually being around 3 minutes, you could listen to 5 in a 15 minute shower.

put it in a plastic bag or two and ready you are to keep being consumed by content.
Sad, that the recommendation is "use Bluetooth speakers instead, which are more expendable" instead of "are safe to use".
I used to have a waterproof Bluetooth speaker, but it was actually better than having your phone with you since it was right there in the shower.
It is pretty amazing to me that some people really have to be told not to bring their expensive electronics into the shower. It's the shower, just wash your dirty ass and get out.
Tbf, since I have done this some 2-3 times:
Some special shampoos require you to be sitting there for like 10 minutes until it does its thing. I thought it was safe since water was no longer coming out of the shower, I didn't consider the high humidity environment.
Why not use that time to soap up and rinse off your body while you wait for the shampoo to do its thing? That's what I do.
Then I gotta condition and I feel slick
As a cyclist, that's leg shaving time.
Washing and rinsing doesn't take that long. I usually shave or clean the shower while I wait, and even that doesn't take long enough sometimes
I find it meditative... washing the nooks, rinsing, etc. I do, sometimes, run music outside on a counter with a door open.
Is this the same for baths?
Although water temperature for my bath is hotter than for my showers, it seems to me less steam comes off a bath.
I guess the water in the shower is aerosolized by the high speed impact so perhaps baths are better. I don't imagine the water temperature makes much of a difference since its presumably not 100°c

Not often, because I like bathing and using phone is wasting your water relaxation time. But, I do use it sometimes when I want music or am in the middle of something and also need or want to take a shower or bath.
Phone reading in the bath is amazing.
To be clear, I also have always strived for completely waterproof cases.

Why don't these shower-phone people just get a much cheaper and more durable waterproof speaker? I get wanting music or a podcast or whatever but I can't imagine how I would watch a video with all the soap and water everywhere
Waterproof ≠ Heatproof, and it also doesn't guarantee chemicals and other impurities won't wreck your phone. I took my old phone into the ocean a few times because we didn't have lockers on the beach and no rental car to leave stuff in. It was rated waterproof and it survived, but it didn't want to charge for quite a while and getting the salt and sand out of the usb-c port was tedious.
My fitness watch is as happy in the pool swimming laps as it is anywhere else. I do take it off in the shower though because I don't want to clean soap scum off it or have water trapped between the watch and my wrist. It sounds like I may be inadvertently saving the battery!
Waterproof ≠ Heatproof
Also Waterproof ≠ Waterproof. Found that out the hard way with my pixel, I was taking some pictures by the pool, it went in the water, broken and no warranty for liquid damage.
Forgetting I had my phone in my pocket, I got in to a 105 F hot tub. I immediately realized and got it out of water. It was already glitching out and dying. That IPX rating does not respect heat!
