It looks like only 2-3 KDE devs pushback and the rest are thumbs-uping pro-AI points. Claims that LLMs are fine for the environment... Then someone got exposed for racism and misogyny among many other -isms and they claim that some of the participants in that discussion LIKE those posts... YIKES. It all makes sense why they are dying on the framework hill.
GNOME, the most boring DE is just about the only refuge at this point from LLM garbage…They aren't particularly great for daily driving because of its usability hell over there. If I have to. I might eat a bullet and just use GNOME since they are against LLMs as a rule. If their contribution policy leans towards allowing LLM-assisted to outright vibe-coded contributions, KDE is cooked as fuck. Given that Valve and a lot of others use it as a default…It will be getting pretty messy over there. At some point, I will just have to make my own window manager and fuck off the pre-made shit, at least me learning Python and C will be put to good use that way. ROFL
Might as well just stick with my plan of fucking off into my own WM and not giving a single shit about any of the standard DEs then. They can rot if they'd like to swallow shit, I hope they choke.

I was using SwayWM but there are some issues with background shit (at least on the system I was using it on). It was using an insane amount of ram and taxing my CPU unnecessarily. If I do make my own WM, I can optimize and control more aspects of how it performs.
Maybe take a look at River as a starting point. I think it has an interesting concept and it's strictly slop free.
People have been pointing me in River's direction...Zig, that is the main issue. I am looking for things based on C at the very least. I think using SwayWM as a starting inspiration for some elements is where I will be starting. As I have to be able to read the code, I have the most experience reading C, Zig just looks too weird. If I have any hope to translate most of it into Python. ROFL
The thing that I like about River is that it does the compositing while you can build your own window manager on top of it in whatever language you like. There are already a few examples to choose from some of them in C.
Yeah, I was looking deeper into it as initially River seemed to be going through a zig rewrite but I looked a bit more into it without editing my comment and found there is more. When I got to the stage when my knowledge matched the ability to write my own WM, I was going to use wlroots as a base to build off of. It seems like I have a few paths open to me. Might take awhile for me to get the idea fully off the ground though, as I need to master Python and get back into C before realizing the idea. It will come in stages.

There's just no backbone, everything's about money money money and money. All it will take is an Anthropic or OpenAI sponsorship for whatever mild AI guidelines to get repealed.
What's the alternative anymore? Cosmic is made by a hardware company, I have 0 trust in that. All it'll take is a loss in profits for it to be abandoned. XFCE is full in on AI. LXQT is okay with AI contributions. Cinnamon moves way too slowly and has no opinion on AI. Gnome told Framework to kick rocks and has some strict anti-AI policies in some places but if I wanted a worse MacOS, I'd use MacOS. All the window managers are too barebones and the GUIs on top are all vibecoded. DankMaterialShell? Vibecoded. Noctalia? Vibecoded. Hyprland is naziware. Quickshell? vibecoded. Qt itself has AI assistants in its IDE.
So really what's the alternative? Windows and Mac are also vibecoded. Firefox and Chrome are also vibecoded. Even programming languages and compilers are being vibecoded.

I guess I'll stick with plan B: lots of Inexpensive Disks©, recycled PC and NetBSD (+ a donation to free software projects that are still made by humans, like NetBSD (or any other animal that learns to type text)).
TDE is a good fork of KDE that I don't think that permits AI.
If it doesn't have a clear stance, I can try to ask them politely to add one, using the Open Slopware's template.
If they refuse, I'll fork them and post it in every anti-AI group I know so anyone knows about it and can contribute.
Oof, I just looked at their repo and it has this plan to adding an AGENTS.md file, although it looks like they actively look into openly disclosing it.
I'll anyways reach to them, though, maybe I can make a difference. Please, come to help me with it. If not, as I said, I'll hard-fork it, as it looks as it's currently untainted because it doesn't has any "AGENTS.md" atm.

this is why the "year of the linux desktop" is never going to happen. This past year, hell the past few months, have shown why it won't happen. The Linux community is divided and will never agree with each other.
On the one side you have people who are anti-AI and advocates for pure FOSS. generally this is the user. On the other side you have people who are open to AI, or straight up pro AI and while they are all about FOSS will never hesitate to accept money for their projects. This is pretty much the devs and maintainers.
So it's not going to happen and if anything is going to drive the current userbase away from Linux and embrace a new userbase that simply either doesn't care or is unaware. Look at Omarchy. that's exactly their target demographic. As for the current userbase when the options become more and more limited then where do you go? to one of the BSDs? Haiku? something else? The problem is a fully embraced AI ecosystem is a sloppy one. After reading that Omarchy "made" their own kernel last night I decided to install that on an SSD to check out. I lasted all of 30minutes before I wiped the drive. It's a mess. an absolute mess. But it's one that is being embraced by a group that many current linux users don't agree with and that userbase is growing, and growing quickly.
I'm in the process of ditching linux. It's not for me anymore. it's not fun anymore. and while people can say "well just ignore the politics behind whatever project and just use whatever you want" that might be easy for some people with weak morals and ethics but I'm not like that. I can't. so I won't.
And to go back to your last point of "what to use" I currently starting to daily drive OpenBSD using CTWM. not great, but it works for what I need. It's a sad state of affairs that in the current landscape I have to go back to a WM from the early 90s that I KNOW won't be vibecoded any time soon if at all.
I usually have some sympathy for the dev/maintainer side of FOSS since it is very real work and passion doesn't exactly pay the bills, but the proliferation of AI nonsense is deeply disheartening. At best it shows how narrow of a band these people select from, since even among programmers and software nerds, pro-AI sentiment seems tied to a specific subgroup. Less charitably it shows how the FOSS movement has been fully captured by the corporate interests who always saw it as a source of free labor first.
Where did you find the Noctalia vibe coding evidence, I need to take a look at it to be certain, as I am debating if I want to use KaOS which uses Niri+Noctalia. I need that certainty before I just bugger off from using KaOS. As I'd love a reasonably easy to install, systemd free distro. KaOS meets that criteria.
If anything, I might as well build my own damn WM after learning Python and C, as the beauty of Linux is I can build my own software and bugger off of the supplied stuff best as possible.
Noctalia used to have a handful of claude commits, they seem to have been force pushed out or similar. Hopefully out of change in mind.

Every step of the supply chain is allowed up to a certain percent of contaminant and as long as nobody notices its "ok". (If you like dairy don't look up what kinds of contaminants find there way in...)

you will note that your summary of the regulation is quite disingenuous. establishing the maximum level of contaminants is not an approval, specifically your claim that every step of the supply chain is allowed up to a certain percent of contaminant and as long as nobody notices its “ok” is an obvious malinterpretation.
specifically, compare your wording with the specific wording from the regulation:
