If they sat him down and explained that, no actually we are just saying that to cover our asses because our financials in no way justify the absolutely insane amount of money investors have pumped in, so we are trying to hold on long enough to pass the buck to the public markets, he would 100% say some garbled stream of consciousness version of that at the next press conference. No one is slowing down AI. They're all just saying that so everyone else will slow down while they scream full steam ahead.

I kind of like the direction all this latest "AI" is going.
I used the "Dog ate my homework" trick at work about how all my templated prompts and history have disappeared from a certain timeframe. My boss even had me open a support ticket with the vendor supplying the LLM. They said it must not be recoverable due to the nature of how AI works. I basically took a 2 week vacation and no one has any fucking clue about how stupid this shit it.
Depending on the tool you can get all of it locally. Claude code stores all the past 30 days locally.
