Overwatch is a generally well running game both on win and linux but it suffers from bad shader compilation.
I was wondering if there are any fixes for this specific issue, overwatch has an experimental dx12 mode which is supposed to run better once shaders are compiled for the first time but in my experience theres massive added latency in dx12, im not sure what causes it or if there is a work around for that. Right now i use a custom game (Code: 929PJ) and follow the instructions of the creator which are to delete shader cache and let the custom game run afterwards.
If i dont do this the game stutters heavily every boot and having to run this custom game for every map everytime i want to play with a smooth experience is extremely annoying.
Are there any fixes you know or is this up to the devs?

I have not have issues in game with Linux. But with Steam feels like game rebuilds shaders with every launch. With Heroic I don't seem to have issue, but my wife does. Hopefully you find solution!

Me and my friend are on Cachyos and he has issues with some heroes not being displayed at all. While it works fine on my side.

Is that a shader issue ?

If he's on dx12 probably yes, the initial loading on dx12 takes really long
