Hero Stat Page is Live! (overwatch.blizzard.com)
submitted 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago) by Wawe@lemmy.world to c/overwatch@lemmy.world

My insights from EU:

  • Ana is highest picked support overall (as was the case pretty much always in Overbuff)
  • Rein is highest picked tank with 54% winrate
  • Ram had 57.8% winrate in GM! But fell a lot in lower ranks
  • Cassidy and Soldier are highest picked DPs but have 48% winrate

Hotfix Gameplay Update

This is a gameplay and bug fix update. Replay codes are still available. Winter Wonderland Updates

We've heard your feedback and for an extra special, holly jolly holiday, we're updating our Winter Wonderland Event and you can now get 3 COOKIES per challenge instead of the previous 2 cookies. Console Aim Assist Updates

Aim Assist reduced to 4% down from 8% for the following heroes:
    Damage
        Ashe, Bastion, Soldier, Tracer
    Tank
        D.Va, Mauga
    Support
        Ana, Bap, Juno

Core Competitive Gameplay Update

New Challenger points are as follows:

Diamond 5 - 20
Diamond 4 - 22
Diamond 3 - 24
Diamond 2 - 26
Diamond 1 - 28
Master 5 - 32
Master 4 - 36
Master 3 - 40
Master 2 - 44
Master 1 - 48
Grandmaster 5 - 60
Grandmaster 4 - 78
Grandmaster 3 - 102
Grandmaster 2 - 132
Grandmaster 1 - 168
Champion 5 - 208
Champion 4 - 268
Champion 3 - 348
Champion 2 - 448
Champion 1 - 568

We've been listening to your feedback on Challenger Score and we've heard that our highest ranks aren't rewarding enough and the lower ranks are somewhat too rewarding, so we've tuned the scores to scale in a more extreme way. We're planning to change the rule that gives winning players the Challenger Score reward of the highest ranked player to ensure that scores for Champion players can be tuned appropriately for their queue times. We're also working hard on fixing a crossplay bug that's caused some lower rank players to appear higher than intended on the leaderboard. Damage Hero Updates Vendetta

Vendetta’s win rate has continued to rise as players grow more familiar with her kit, so we’re making a small adjustment prior to midseason. This change shifts key breakpoints while preserving the intended flow of her abilities.

Palatine Fang

Horizontal swing damage reduced from 50 to 45.

Stadium Updates

Martian Mender - Epic Survival General Item
Reduced Cooldown Reduction to 5% (Down from 10%).

We're tuning back how much Cooldown Reduction is easily accessible in the general items, so there's more of a sacrifice to gaining high amounts of Cooldown Reduction. Stadium Tank Hero Updates Doomfist Doomfist

Doomfist has been underperforming in Stadium since his release. We're increasing the consistency and power of some of his powers, as well as his currency gain, to help him be a more reliable option without increasing his power ceiling or one shot capabilities too much.

Currency gained from damage and healing increased by 25%.
Aftershock - Power
Increased secondary shockwave damage to 60% (Up from 50%).
Asteroid Smash - Power
    Now grants ultimate charge.
Cooldown reduced to 12s (Down from 15s).
Block Party - Power
Block Party has been disabled at this time due to an issue
Jab Cross - Power
Increased Melee Attack Speed after using an ability to 75% (Up from 50%).
Jetforce Jab - Power
Increased Burn Damage on Rocket Punch to 20% (Up from 15%).
Slam Wham - Power
Increased Seismic Slam Range per meter travelled to 6% (Up from 4%).

Sigma

With Sigma’s recent updates to his primary fire, he has been beyond the intended power ceiling. Zero Gravity offered too much uptime and safety, allowing Sigma to disengage or reposition with minimal risk. At the same time, some weapon items were providing strong value for their cost, accelerating his damage curve. These adjustments rein in his mobility and early scaling while rebalancing item costs to better reflect their impact. The Harness receives a small cost reduction to keep ability power builds competitive as other options are tuned down.

Zero Gravity - Power
Decreased duration to 1.5s (Down from 4s).
Antimatter - Epic Weapon Hero Item
Increased cost to 12000 (Up from 10000).
Decreased weapon power to 10% (Down from 15%).
Velocity Vector - Rare Weapon Hero Item
Increased cost to 6000 (Up from 4500).
The Harness - Epic Ability Hero Item
Decreased cost to 10000 (Down from 11000).

Winston

Rampaging Winston has been tearing things up, and after a long look at the data, we’re dialing back how quickly his Jump Pack build come online. Several of these items were delivering a lot of value for their cost, letting Winston chain jumps with very little downtime and stay safer than intended during aggressive dives. We want Winston to feel powerful when he commits, but that commitment should come with real risk and clearer windows to punish. Primal Slam remains a fan favorite and something we’re keeping a close eye on. Rather than trimming away the fun or removing gameplay, this update focuses on adjusting surrounding costs and survivability levers first, giving us room to bring the overall build back into line without taking away what makes rampaging Winston exciting to play.

Primal Punch - Power
Decreased melee damage to 3% (Down from 5%).
Premium Peanut Butter - Rare Survival Hero Item
Increased cost to 6000 (Up from 4000).
Zero-G Suit - Rare Ability Hero Item
Increased cost to 6000 (Up from 4000).
    Removed cooldown reduction.
Horizon Expander - Epic Ability Hero Item
Increased cost to 12500 (Up from 11000).
Fortified Jump Pack - Epic Survival Hero Item
Increased cost to 12500 (Up from 10000).
Decreased damage reduction to 20% (Down from 35%).

Stadium Support Hero Updates Ana

These changes are aimed at sharpening her playmaking potential and rewarding proactive, skillful shots. By significantly speeding up Artsy Dartsy, Ana can better contest mobile and airborne targets, while Falconer now provides stronger sustained pressure and more reliable access to Nano Boost. Now tell your Genji that your ultimate is ready!

Artsy Dartsy - Power
Increased projectile speed to 300% (Up from 150%).
Falconer
Increased attack speed to 30% (Up from 20%).
Increased ultimate charge to 25% (Up from 15%).

Brigitte

Scavenged Steel has been an outlier in enabling her Rally oriented builds, so we're tuning it down to be more in line with her other build options.

Scavenged Steel - Epic Ability Hero Item
Reduced Ultimate Charge gain on Ability Damage to 2% (Down from 3%).

Bugfixes

Fixed an issue where Aquajet amplifier wasn't granting weapon power to Wuyang.
Fixed an issue where Thick skin was giving constant armor healing to Winston.
Fixed an issue where players were earning too much currency from Damage and Healing in Quick Play.
We've released a fix to resolve an issue where some players were unable to exchange Cookies in the Winter Wonderland event.

Player Progression

Retired badges and sub-badges are accessible in the game again. Career Profile → Progression → Legacy.
Overwatch 1 player level has also been moved to the Legacy screen.

Player Cards

In Role Queue modes, instead of showing highest leveled heroes across the hero roster, player cards now show your highest leveled heroes in the role you are playing.
Non-Role Queue modes will continue to show highest leveled heroes across the entire roster.

Advanced Info Panel

Added the "Jump Cancel" keyword to abilities that can be ended early for bonus movement.

Tank D.Va

Extended Booster Perk

Boosters now deal 100% additional damage.

Hazard

With Hazard’s block now less reliable against burst damage, this change increases his mobility, allowing him to reposition and engage more effectively. Spike Guard

No longer prevents critical damage. Violent Leap

Cooldown reduced from 6 to 5.5 seconds.

Orisa

Alongside Hazard’s updates, these adjustments address specific interactions that were previously mitigated by these defensive abilities, such as Mauga’s Ignited critical damage and Reinhardt’s Earthshatter.

Fortify and Terra Surge now only prevent headshot critical damage and not forced crits

Ramattra

Previous changes led to a healthier overall playstyle for Ramattra, but he could feel too fragile in certain matchups. Increasing his base health improves survivability in both forms.

-Base health increased from 250 to 275

Relentless Form Perk
No longer has half effectiveness while in Annihilation

Zarya

Energy Converter Perk
Energy gained reduced from 3 to 2

Damage Ashe

Increasing Ashe’s falloff range allows her to perform more consistently at her intended mid- to long-range distances.

The Viper

Secondary Fire falloff range rescaled from 30–50 meters to 40–60 meters

Cassidy

Flashbang’s short hinder duration could feel difficult to capitalize on. This slight increase gives Cassidy players a more reliable window to follow up when landing a Flashbang.

Flashbang

Hinder duration increased from 0.9 to 1.2 seconds

Echo

Echo can struggle to safely position within her effective range. Increasing her aerial acceleration during Flight gives her more control when engaging or escaping.

Flight

Movement acceleration in air increased by 100% when changing directions while Flight is active.

Mei

This damage increase ensures Mei’s Primary Fire remains the consistent choice in close-range duels.

Primary Fire

Damage per second increased from 100 to 110

Sojourn

These adjustments make Disruptor Shot easier to land and more reliable without increasing its travel distance.

Disruptor Shot

Damage per second increased from 80 to 90
Projectile speed increased from 30 to 40
Maximum travel duration reduced from 1 to 0.75 seconds

Sombra

Healthy Hacker has struggled to provide consistent value as a result of its short active window. These adjustments extend its effectiveness and offer more opportunities to benefit from the perk, even when combat occurs away from health packs.

Hidden Upload Perk

Stealth duration on successful hack increased from 2 to 3 seconds

Healthy Hacker Perk

Time before overhealth degeneration increased from 6 to 10 seconds
Overhealth degeneration increased from 10 to 25
Overhealth granted increased from 50 to 75
Packs can now be picked up at full overhealth to reset the degeneration timer

Support Brigitte

Brigitte’s healing output can sometimes feel limited compared to other supports. Reducing Repair Pack’s cooldown provides more consistent healing across all situations.

Repair Pack

Cooldown reduced from 5.5 to 5 seconds

Juno

This partial reversion to Juno’s previous air strafing makes her movement more responsive without making her overly evasive to fight against.

Glide Boost

Movement acceleration in air increased by 50% when changing directions while Glide Boost active.

Kiriko

Kiriko’s Ultimate remains one of the most powerful in the game because of its large area and the value it provides to her team. Increasing its cost brings its time to earn more in line with its impact.

Ultimate cost increased by 8% Lifeweaver

Lifeweaver’s larger model made him much easier to hit than most supports. With his lower health pool, this hitbox reduction offsets that loss in survivability, while weapon swap improvements make his gameplay smoother and more responsive.

Model and hit volume size reduced by 8%

Healing Blossom/Thorn Volley

Automatic reload time for the inactive weapon reduced from 2.5 seconds to 2 seconds
Time between weapon swap reduced from 0.25 seconds to 0.125 seconds

6v6 Hero Changes

Most changes made to 5v5 are reflected in 6v6 unless otherwise noted. This patch aims to maintain consistent balance between the two modes while addressing outliers, particularly among tanks. Adaptive Shields

We are now dynamically adjusting the height at which floating text is displayed to improve visibility for heroes in melee range.
Overkill and overhealing values are now displayed when eliminating an enemy or healing a friendly target.
Kill cameras will now display stadium combat text.
Improved the stability of stadium combat text on moving targets so it’s less distracting.

Stadium - Tank Hazard

Hazard’s wall-focused powers were hitting a little too hard, dishing out big burst damage on top of strong zoning potential. We’ve reduced the knockback damage for both Off The Wall and Fortress to make the ability feel fairer to play against while keeping its area control and impact intact.

Off The Wall - Power

Damage decreased to 60 (Down from 80).

Fortress - Power

Damage decreased to 25 (Down from 40).

Orisa

A few hero items were lagging behind in overall value and flexibility, so we’re giving them some extra polish. Enhanced Target Sensors and Oladele-copter Blades now offer more meaningful offensive boosts, Efi’s Theorem gains defensive utility to help sustain in fights, and HollaGram Helmet gets a price cut to make it easier for Orisa to support the team if they need unstoppable.

Enhanced Target Sensors - Rare Weapon Hero Item

Volley à Deux - Power

Spread of additional bolts reduced by 60%.
Additional bolts fire every 3rd shot (Down from every 5th shot).

Peak Performance - Power

Added +20% Updraft Height.

Aeroweave Cloak - Rare Survival Hero Item

Added: Restore 10% Max Ammo every 1s while momentum is slowed by Take Aim.

Cyclone - Power

Added: 25% reduced explosion damage from extra Take Aim Bolt.

Sojourn

Sojourn’s Disruptor Shot build was too costly for the payoff it provided, making it hard to justify in most matches. We’ve reduced the build’s overall expense and improved her defensive options through Power Slide buffs, giving her more flexibility to reposition and stay in the fight longer.

Hard Stuck - Power

Damage reduction decreased to 25% (Down from 50%).

Liao's Logistics Data - Epic Ability Hero Item

Cost decreased to 10000 (Down from 11000)

Energy Leech - Rare Ability Hero Item

Cost decreased to 4000 (Down from 5000)

Slow increased to 25% (Up from 15%).
Railgun Charge increased to 50% (Up from 33%).

Hop Boom - Power

Concussion Mine damage upon landing after detonating Concussion Mine on yourself increased to 20% reduced effectiveness (Up from 30% reduced effectiveness).

Spiked Gloves - Rare Weapon Hero Item

Cost decreased to 4000 (Down from 4500).

Thermal Trap - Rare Survival Hero Item

Cost decreased to 3750 (Down from 4000).

Stadium - Support Juno

Bringing back the extra heal that Medicinal Missiles used to have. This boost adds more sustain for allies and makes her supportive playstyle feel even more rewarding when landing those precise shots.

Medicinal Missiles - Power

Now heals extra 30 health on pulsar hit.

Brigitte

Brigitte's Weapon Power build has remained niche and difficult to justify over her other build options. We're adding a bit more firepower and survivability here to make it a more viable option in the right situation.

Whirlwhip - Power

Bonus Damage on 360 Rocket Flail swing increased to 125% (Up from 100%).

Righteous Cleave - Power

Healing on next Rocket Flail swing increased to 125% of damage dealt (Up from 100%).

Bug Fixes General Fixes

Fixed an issue where Sojourn's charge was lost after a primary fire when using the Overcharged perk.
Fixed an issue where the timer for Mercy's resurrect was not shown in ping messages.

Aaron Keller in X. *We’ve been listening to your feedback on Ranked Stadium’s format since Season 19 launched, and we agree — the switch to Best of 5 hasn’t felt quite right. Starting tomorrow (10/30), Ranked Stadium is returning to Best of 7.

Best of 7 adds more room for strategy, comebacks, and team adaptation, while making matches feel less snowbally overall. If you liked the quicker Best of 5 format, you can still jump into Quick Play Stadium to experience it there.

The Stadium Ranked Queue will be disabled for about one hour while the change rolls out. More details about this decision coming in next week's Director's Take. Thanks again for all the feedback — we’re always listening.*

I hope there was some other way for news than random tweet in X.

Stadium has been around for a while and I still see people struggling with basic things. I made this guide to help people understand the game mode a bit better.

Video is also on Youtube if you want to support channel there: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z9srmJCMxs0

If you prefer text instead of video:
Have you been struggling with stadium and do you want to get the amazing all-star skin? Here are five tips to help you get started with the new season.

1. Always have 6 items

Many people are still rushing random epic items. Most epic items are less money efficient compared to cheaper counter parts. For example, instead of buying champion's kit, you can buy Nano Cola, Multi tool and Power Playbook to get even more AP for over 3 thousand cheaper.

Item buying for weapon power is a bit more complicated. But most of the time cheaper items are still better.

It is rarely useful to buy an expensive epic item for a niche effect. For example Mercy has an epic item that increases her staff range and gives very little weapon power. You really need to think is the longer staff range worth the money for earlier rounds. Or consider the next tip.

2. Farm stats and don’t feed

In stadium you get money from kills, doing damage and healing. Early game you should try to get as much money as possible. You can do it by doing a lot of damage and healing. Try to be active constantly in the fight and avoid long flanks or camping. Get powers and items that maximize your damage and healing first and get other items later. For example as Mercy you should buy weapon power and attack speed for increased healing instead of getting items that don’t give you a lot of stats, like Blessed boosters, that gives you high jump velocity.

You should also keep an eye on your bounty. Especially as a support like Mercy you can get really high bounty. Not relevant any more, but previously not giving up the bounty was important if you wanted to mercy-rule the game.

3. Understand your build

Your build defines your character and you should play how your build should be played. For example healing station soldier and aimbot soldier play totally differently. I see many clone Kirikos that don’t even spam tp on cooldown. You should change your playstyle to fit your build. Ability power reinhardt should play safe and spam fire strikes and get sneaky pins that can one shot anyone. This leads to my next tip.

4. Keep track of enemy builds

Pay attention to enemy builds. If enemy team has full ability power reinheart be careful when peaking corners and try not to get pinned. You don’t need to pay attenton to each item that enemy has but the general vibes of the build. For example is the Ashe building weapon power or ability power? This way you know what to avoid and what is your win condition. For example ability power rein is scary with one shoting fire strikes, but that rein is also really easy to kill since he has no defensive items and can be focused down easily.

5. Adapt your build

Items are the bread and butter of the stadium. You can freely swap your items so you can do this to adapt to the enemy team. For example against JQ you should try to rush healing reduction item since it will make her miserable. You should also adapt your powers based on the enemy. For example in Moira versus Dva, you should consider going weapon power instead of orb build since Dva cannot block your beam damage, but Dva can eat your orbs.

6. Bonus tip

Stadium is really forgiving when climbing. You just need to play the game if you want to climb. You can even have negative win rate when climbing because you don't lose stadium points in lower ranks.

Because Stadium uses quick play mmr, Stadium rank is also always meaningless unless for brag rights and getting the rewards.

6. And also a support hidden extra secret that will instantly rank you up to legend!

If you use your ultimate, it uses a powerful ability. Your ultimate will not be kept for the next round so you should use it before the round ends. Especially, if you are a nano boost ana, maybe use your nano during the game. And if you use your ultimate as soon as you get it, you can have time to get it a second time or even a third time.
