I remember a world where this man was rarely on television and any mention of him was easily avoidable.
I will never live to see that world that world again.
I remember a time when a president was criticized on TV and he didn't go off on incoherent rambling for 3 weeks and threaten to pull their FCC license
Humanity having left that world behind makes us seem like we were put under an evil curse.

I actually can imagine that once he dies all most Republicans will be claiming they never supported everything he did and why we even bring his name when discussing issues caused by his current actions.
Given how Graham did 180 after a golf game and how Hannity feels like kissing his ass even though politically trump should have no control over him tells me that a lot of Republicans were guests at Epstein parties and it is used for blackmail.
If we want to keep democracy going after everyone in the files should be one of top priorities.

They're not choosing to be gullible. They're being brainwashed. FOX news uses the very same methods used on US soldiers in Korea.
Viewers are suckered in with scary news and hate pieces that affirm common conservative presumptions and suspicions. They're invited to disregard any contradicting news stories and disconnect from all other news media sources. And then they're coached in MAGA rhetoric and ideology until they know all the thought-terminating clichés by heart.
In the end they imagine liberals doing despicable things (as plausible as They're eating the dogs!) and are convinced liberals need to be hunted down, imprisoned and executed. Also that anyone MAGA or who doesn't virtue-signal as MAGA is a liberal.
We know FOX News uses this method.
We know human beings are susceptible to this kind of manipulation.
All our regulatory bodies are captured, and laws against the practice, are neutered. The media agencies who do this for MAGA are sponsored heavily by the ultra-wealthy, as are influencers who toe the same line.
The only questions are, how pervasively effective is it? (the 2024 election speaks volumes.), How much can the MAGA faithful suffer before they start doubting the message? And, is there anything that can be done to reprogram them?
