Where they get absolutely roasted for their stance on AI πŸ˜„

Their correct stance that copyright doesn't protect rights holders from training AI on content scraped legally.

Maybe, but their stance on AI does suck.

What is their stance on AI?

Copyright doesn’t protect from training on data that was scraped legally.

Which is exactly the stance I would expect from EFF, since their primary goal is an open and free internet. Scraping is a normal activity if you ascribe to that ethos.

A doctor must go where the sick people are.

That ended in like, the 1700s. We have hospitals now.

[–] NaibofTabr@infosec.pub 3 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

Believe it or not, there are sick people in hospitals.

[–] lambalicious@lemmy.sdf.org 3 points 3 hours ago

Yeah. That's half the point of them!

You have to meet your audience where they are at. Twitch makes a lot of sense and has a lot of reach.

You can reach your audience from a variety of channels. At least one of them should be free. This should be seeringly obvious to an org like EFF.
