Am I the only person who likes chia seeds

[–] myyass@lemmy.world 12 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Well they say four out of five people suffer from severe diarrhea, does that mean the fifth one enjoys it? =)

I can't say if I like them but I do put them in smoothies, overnight oats and other meals/snacks. I don't really notice them so maybe I do like them.

Some foods are meant to be unhealthy. Just consume them in small amounts and less frequently, then there's not much to worry about.

For real like if I wanna eat something unhealthy it’s because I wanna eat it because it taste good. I don’t want some healthy version of an unhealthy food to “trick” myself into eating healthy… healthy food tastes good too you know? Just eat good tasting health food.

What? Are you not suppose to buy a bag of something containing 20 servings and down the whole pack in one sitting?

You can always do my thing of doing that and then not eating for the next two days wondering why you feel like shit.

The nutrition panel where I live (I assume similar in the US) tells you the info for a serving as well as for a 100-gram amount.

It’s awful. Just tell me the calories and nutrients for the whole pack.

I’ll work out the serving size myself, thank you.

I mean in college a bag of cereal was one serving. Why else would they put it in a milk proof bag?

[–] dorumon@lemmy.cafe 4 points 1 day ago

Lowkey kinda want this right now.

[–] nullspace@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

If it's on the dessert menu I'm getting it and judging my entire meal based on it.

[–] cRazi_man@europe.pub 31 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Tiramisu already contains everything I need.

Plants love electrolytes. Conclusion: they are a plant

I usually don't like hearing the words "healthy version".

Chia pudding is pretty tasty imo. Can definitely see that working in a tiramisu, but I guess it depends on what else you change about the recipe.

Pumpkin-spice Tiramisu.

Made it for Thanksgiving one year. Zero leftovers.

[–] SourDragon@lemmy.world 6 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

As someone who doesn't like pumpkin spice, I'm willing to admit Pumpkin-spice Tiramisu would definitely be finished off within just a couple minutes in my household

[–] Imgonnatrythis@sh.itjust.works 8 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Does it even have the women's fingers in it?

I actually ate it. It really isn't disgusting. Tiramisu fans will hate it. Tiramisu haters will be ok with it. Nobody will love it.
It's average because everything other than the chia seeds do the heavy lifting while the chia seeds themselves are rolling down on the floor, kicking and screaming.

Let me promote this: strawberry tiramisu. Bloody delicious and if you so choose you can make it with yoghurt instead of mascarpone or ricotta. I hate coffee, so this is my go-to tiramisu.
