Why do I see a fucking face looking at this picture it's like Mars has extreme apathy or depression with this face => •_•

[–] multifariace@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I am so fucking annoyed by Microsoft lately. Their mulitstep security that sometimes makes you repeat all the steps randomly. The pain if you have to use multiple accounts. That is almost all for work. And as a teacher, it takes too much time to do these things while trying to run a class, while also having to use a phone to authenticate! Such bullshit!

[–] Tenderizer@aussie.zone 1 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

I hate when companies put too many services under one account. It's shit like that which makes you need 2FA for bloody Minecraft.

[–] DarkSirrush@piefed.ca 76 points 3 days ago (2 children)

2 different versions of outlook that don't work for some reason.

Fuck new outlook btw

[–] FreddiesLantern@leminal.space 19 points 3 days ago

It's an abomination. (And kinda shitty that it's yet another web app, you can copy the link for the background graphics even... so stupid)

[–] Doug@piefed.social 5 points 3 days ago

And you can’t uninstall them.

[–] Sergio@piefed.social 44 points 3 days ago

Well, it WOULD explain why Mars is a dead planet...

[–] Manalith@midwest.social 25 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Don't worry, we've already established that Outlook doesn't work in space.

[–] marcos@lemmy.world 10 points 3 days ago

It's not much of a surprise, since it doesn't work on Earth either.

[–] SnarkoPolo@lemmy.world 3 points 2 days ago

A MAGA hat.

[–] FreddiesLantern@leminal.space 29 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Two outlook accounts and both aren't working.

[–] Hupf@feddit.org 11 points 3 days ago

The Outlooks, they do nothing!

[–] Nobody@anarchist.nexus 39 points 3 days ago

“We’ve found an abundant pocket of water on Mars. Enough to sustain our proposed data centers for a few decades.”

[–] ZoteTheMighty@lemmy.zip 17 points 3 days ago (1 children)

"Houston, we have two Microsoft Teams, and neither of them is working."

[–] mkwt@lemmy.world 3 points 3 days ago (1 children)

How will you be able to talk to Houston if your Teams is not working?

[–] ZoteTheMighty@lemmy.zip 10 points 3 days ago

In Microsoft Teams, no one can hear you scream.

[–] 2hundredpancakes@lemmy.blahaj.zone 17 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago) (2 children)

Fun fact, that big gash is called Valles Marineris and it's the deepest canyon in the solar system.

There's probably nothing scary in there...

Edit: largest not deepest, this is what I get for staying up too late

[–] frank@sopuli.xyz 5 points 3 days ago (2 children)

It's definitely the largest canyon, if I'm reading Wiki right. It's over 4km long and 200 wide, compared to the Grand Canyon at 277km long and 29 wide

[–] el_abuelo@programming.dev 3 points 2 days ago

Wait a second....how do yoh decide it's 4 long and 200 wide instead of 200 long and 4 wide?

You're right thanks! Late night brain moment

[–] PlaneMaker@feddit.org 5 points 3 days ago (2 children)

The Mariana Trench seems to be deeper, 11000 m compared to 7000 m. But I’m not sure what’s the reference point on Mars for elevation. But at least can’t fall into the Mariana Trench

[–] 14th_cylon@lemmy.zip 4 points 3 days ago (1 children)

But at least can’t fall into the Mariana Trench

why not? is there some local anomaly that causes gravity not to work?

[–] PlaneMaker@feddit.org 5 points 3 days ago (1 children)

I wouldn’t consider this as falling, but i get your point, i don’t see why sinking shouldn’t also be falling

I should have specified: at least you won’t die from the impact

Just data centers humming on geothermal and a desert wasteland.

[–] Lucidlethargy@sh.itjust.works 4 points 2 days ago

Claude.

That's far more terrifying than Teams.

Okay here me out, are you really saying that you don't want him to go to Mars?

I do. Or anywhere else really. Ideally hell. I mean even if hell did not exist, make one and then go to it. (Or I guess it would really be the other way around? 😜)

But you know, Musk fucking off to Mars is also okay with me. Better there then here anyway.

[–] not@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 3 days ago

Men are from Mars. Elon Musk is not a man he is a pile of dung, he doesn't belong there.

[–] Sabata11792@ani.social 3 points 3 days ago (1 children)

We can send him and all the other billionaires to Mars, but not enough fuel to come back.

Then turn off communications. Humanity saved.

[–] OpenStars@discuss.online 2 points 3 days ago

Okay so what happens when they take all of Earth's most precious resources with them when they leave... you know what, fuck it we ball, let's roll out!

[–] Eternal192@anarchist.nexus 2 points 3 days ago

I would rather he stay here and burn on the planet he and other rich assholes have fucked up and we go to Mars and start over without those parasites.

[–] muusemuuse@sh.itjust.works 6 points 3 days ago

Goddamnit now I see it too

[–] Kyrgizion@lemmy.world 8 points 3 days ago (1 children)

A portal to hell. Which just leads back to Earth.

Teams already takes 22 minutes to work... add the delay to that and you'll be in an infinite loop of lost contact

[–] rumba@lemmy.zip 4 points 3 days ago
[–] Im_old@lemmy.world 7 points 3 days ago

signs written in comic sans

[–] SethTaylor@lemmy.world 5 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago) (1 children)

Honestly? From this angle? Probably a couple eyes to match that mouth

Actually you can kinda see eyes, nose and mouth if you look carefully
