Lemmy 1995 cartoon watch day when?

[–] ChickenLadyLovesLife@lemmy.world 4 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

The '70s were way better. We got Looney Tunes and The Little Rascals.

[–] cannedtuna@lemmy.world 4 points 3 hours ago* (last edited 3 hours ago) (1 children)

90s got Tiny Toons 😭

That point in history where everything had to have a “baby” version

[–] ivanafterall@lemmy.world 2 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

I never thought I'd live to see the day someone denigrates Tiny Toons Adventures. What the hell.

[–] cannedtuna@lemmy.world 3 points 3 hours ago

I was more a fan of Animaniacs.

Also wtf. Why did it go from Looney Tunes to Tiny Toons??

Saw the above and wondered why he spelled it Tunes, cause I thought it was Toons, looked it up, he’s right. Spelled Tiny Tunes above, then saw your comment and said the fuck, looked it up and sure enough. Confusing af.

And Sailor Moon!

As long as it wasn't during the Scrappy doo era, god I hate that little bastard.

[–] FuyuhikoDate@feddit.org 3 points 7 hours ago

I never saw most of the cartoons, because the shit startet at 6 am and as a child I loved seeping without having a schedule.

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 5 points 10 hours ago

it was digimon for a while in MS/hs

Shhh as long as mom stays asleep she can't know we're watching cartoons!

(Mom knows. Mom just wants to sleep in).

Fast forward 30 years and my kids are fine launching cartoons on Jellyfin but apparently wake up completely deaf, because my alarm clock all summer has been the 10-tone Teen Titans: Go interstitial at max volume.

Oh well. Could be worse shows. It is DC Comics longest-running animated show, after all.

And my kids circadian rhythm is on point. It's almost the exact same time every day...when the night begins to shine.

Eeek the Cat. I 'member.

[–] k0e3@lemmy.ca 3 points 13 hours ago

I couldn't watch many of these because I had Saturday school :(

That show was fucking wild.

[–] k0e3@lemmy.ca 3 points 13 hours ago

I could watch Dragon Ball and MegaMan super early in the morning too.

[–] Kolanaki@pawb.social 9 points 17 hours ago* (last edited 17 hours ago) (2 children)

Most of these weren't even Saturday morning shows for me; they were after school shows that aired during the weekdays.

Out of this list the only ones that were exclusive to Saturday were Bobby's World, Life with Louie, TMNT and The Tick.

[–] ivanafterall@lemmy.world 1 points 3 hours ago

There were people getting X-Men on days other than Saturday!? So not fair, if so.

[–] yrnttm@lemmy.world 3 points 14 hours ago

Life with Louie was pretty good. I grew up in WI and the packer references were fire. Lol

[–] chunes@lemmy.world 3 points 14 hours ago* (last edited 14 hours ago)

I was that weird kid who liked Bobby's World the most.

[–] nuko147@lemmy.world 6 points 17 hours ago

Thundercats, Dragonball, Batman TAS , Sailor Moon (my sister, not me..ofc..), X-Men, Pokemon, Inspector Gadget.

[–] gh0stb4tz@lemmy.world 48 points 1 day ago (3 children)

The Tick!!! That cartoon was ridiculously funny.

[–] Eldritch@lemmy.world 15 points 23 hours ago (8 children)

The 2001 live action show was enjoyable too. The more recent amazon reboot wasn't bad either. Actually got two seasons and an arc.

Where is Earthworm Jim?

Or did I hallucinate that cartoon...

[–] PapaStevesy@lemmy.world 2 points 10 hours ago

I never saw the cartoon, but I definitely played as him in Clay Fighter 63⅓.

TMNT, Batman TAS, and DuckTales (woo-oo!) for me! I used to set my alarm!

Edit: Admittedly, this was a few years earlier. By 1995, I was 16, and I had more interesting things to do, having just gotten my drivers license. Does anyone remember Q-Zar? also, paintball was all the craze at the time.

The 80s and 90s were a really fun time to grow up.

[–] jacksilver@lemmy.world 1 points 3 hours ago

If you haven't watched it, the 2017 Ducktales reboot is better than the original imo.
