This gray haired bush pilot went to jail for 3 days because one of his passengers smuggled a 6pack of beer into a dry county.

He's currently appealing a decision to take away his plane.

Local couple here got arrested when their neighbor taped them having sex. Yes, you read that right. Not the peeping tom. The victims of the voyeur were arrested.

Comedian Lenny Bruce was repeatedly arrested and prosecuted for "obscenity" for using swear words in his comedy act. All things that would be considered fairly tame and normal comedy today.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lenny_Bruce#Obscenity_arrests

Pretty much anyone who was prosecuted using the Mann Act. Which was used to attack foreigners and undesirable minorities. Generally labeled them having girlfriends as "sex trafficking".

Chaplin met Joan Barry, age 24, in 1941. He signed her to a $75-a-week contract for a film he was putting together, and she became his mistress. By mid-1942, Chaplin let her contract expire. To send her home, Chaplin paid her train fare to New York which led to his arrest.[23][25] Chaplin was acquitted of the charges.

Paid for your mistress to go home? Sex trafficking!

That is weird but people like Chuck Berry with the 14 year old needed to be taken down. Same for R Kelly, Ghislaine Maxwell, Diddy. I was hoping they would get that shithead Congressman from FL too, honestly.

Yes, it's a sex trafficking law. Many of the most prominent examples, especially the older ones, were junk. They arrested the world heavyweight champion Jack Johnson because he had a white girlfriend. For 'sex trafficking' her.

Originally the 'white slavery' act (prostitution aka 'white slavery' was a common term around the late 18th-early 19th-century). Anyone accused of violating this bill was basically being accused of being a pimp.

Reading over a few hundred years of witch trials in Europe pretty good for some absolutely batshit hysterical 'justice'.

Korean Admiral Yi got arrested and prosecuted multiple times for...checks notes...fending off the japanese invasions multiple times with his ship designs (the turtle ships) and his tactics.

Socrates, for teaching the youth to question authority.

The priest of nördlingen (germany), was tried for speaking out against the witch hunts on the popes orders to condemn the witch hunts

I dont remember where that was but animals got put on trial for treason or smth

Petar Zrinski and Fran Krsto Frankopan were trialed and prosecuted for conspiricy of trying to rid the Habsburg from Croatia and Hungary, they gave themself up after two failed attempts to get any outside support. Emperor Leopold even was content to give them their freedom. But the nobility still followed threw with the trial and execution
