Base model is now $789, while the Steam Machine starts at $1,049. Not really much of a surprise...

There's people who bought steam decks for £350 who can sell them now used for a profit after using them for only a couple years. Who needs gold?

I'm glad I got one when they came out. It's not an OLED screen but that's okay. I don't use it as my primary gaming vehicle anyway. Feel bad for folks who didn't snag one then and want one now though.
