Never noticed/thought about this, is Lady having coffee out of that saucer?

A lot of people can get used to it. I actually can't sleep without it now, and I use the full face model. It's almost comforting now. That said, some people truly cannot get used to a full face mask. If it's an option, they do make nasal masks (only covers your nose) and nasal pillows (kind of just rests under your nose.)

I've heard there are even more cutting edge options out there but I never looked into them since I'm fine with what I have, but it's definitely worth doing some research about. Quality sleep really can be life changing if it's achievable.

I think it did but after I went back to check on the shop recently (someone posted a link to it during the early days of everything), Etsy took the shop down.

This is by design; it's difficult to demonize "the others" if you have even a drop of compassion.

When I was a young teen, I loved collecting MIDIs because I didn't have a good way of getting music in other formats--I still had dial up, and didn't know about other methods. Plus I mostly enjoyed songs from video games. There was one I found that had a very enchanting melody and I loved it to death. Kept it on its own special floppy disk. Inevitably, it got lost and I never could remember the name of the song or what game it came from. I did search but not knowing either of those things, and it being only a melody with no lyrics, made it difficult to find. Then, one day, while listening on Spotify, it just magically appeared.

Between that, this, and Disney+ cancellation page "accidentally" going down during that fiasco, this is exactly why I've switched to using only virtual cards for subscriptions. Pause/Cancel the virtual card, voila, no more subscription.

Heck I live in a moderately sized town and the library is a 10-15 minute walk away.

Can confirm. On the flip side, I did get an interview once, and I asked them why they reached out to me and it was because of some random part time job I held struck their fancy. All things being equal, there is no reason why you get an interview or not, it's no different than a slot machine.

I went back recently and reread Arrows of the Queen from the Heralds of Valdemar series. I remember being absolutely in love with this series when I was a young teen. After rereading it, I was surprised to find the world building still held up. It's a little silly to get sparkly eyed over magical justice horses but, hey, it's still a fun fantasy.

The writing in general doesn't hold up as well as I remember. Not that it's bad--but events moved at a much faster clip than I had remembered them doing. I could have sworn there was a lot more time and attention paid to certain events that wound up taking about a chapter or so to resolve. There was also a lot more references to historical events than I remembered--in such a way that stuck out to me as odd, since this was the first book in publication order if I'm not mistaken. But they were very "Oh yeah remember when Herald So and So did Thing?" and it definitely feels like a mid-series book in that regard.

And Talia, though sweet, did have a bit of a "Everyone loves her and she's too good, too pure for this sinful world" about her that got a little tiresome towards the end.

So--either what are some of your experiences rereading old YA classics. Or, alternatively, how did you feel about this series at whatever point in your reading lifetime?

A fun game, but I haven't found a lot of people interested in playing it with me. I'm glad you can do a solo run--I also find it's a unique way to drum up some character ideas! Anyone else play this?
