There's something so satisfying about using the moisture of newly spilled liquid to clean up dried old spilled liquid. It's somehow more satisfying than cleaning up each spill in a timely manner.

I love using dry erase markers to get old dry erase marks off of whiteboards.
One of my favorite things is cleaning stubborn dry erase marker off the board using another dry erase marker.
You can even remove permanent marker off the board with that.
That’s amazing! I’ll take your word for it though…
Fun fact (dull fact) the solvent that removes marker is built into dry erase. That's what makes them dry erase instead of just normal markers.

I just had to remove nail polish from a hardwood floor, courtesy of my teenager. I used nail polish remover. Should I have simply tried to pour more nail polish onto it?
Yes. And, you should use your sock to mop it up. Preferably one you're wearing at the time.

Of course back then socks had pictures of bees on them!
And streamers would show their feet on camera. 10 bees for a hundred bits they'd say!

Why the fridge?
Slows down the drying process so the brush will still be wet by the time I remember to finish painting. Wrapped in plastic first of course.
I'm getting second hand exhilaration, imagining the moment you realized it was close enough to execute that maneuver.
