I expect this is it, just cover to justify what they want to do or think they might want to do. And it's not like they have to trick most people, or even anyone really, so long as it satisfies the desire to have some kind of fig leaf to post-hoc rationalize what they're doing. A lot (most?) of the audience probably knows that it is a lie but is too cynically self-interested to think it's a problem; ethics are for betas and cucks after all.

How oddly coincidental that this poster just happened to appear at CPAC around the same time ....

Edit: I remember seeing a clip a couple weeks ago where they were interviewing MAGAts, asking them where the line is for them with Trump, the point at which they could no longer support him no matter what. And one guy said, "If he violates the Constitution." The interviewer asked him to give an example of something that might violate the Constitution and the guy immediately said, "Seek a third term." Given the way alt-right media programs MAGAts, I wonder how much longer he'll maintain that opinion, especially with "authority figures" saying that Obama already did it.
