I hope they offer enterprise support. Guess what the new banking system is going to run on???

Hold on...

Debian based, KDE by default...

Hannah Montana Linux might actually be a contender for my next daily driver distro!

Hmm... I hope they don't wait another 18 years for the next updates, though.

Is installing KDE on Debian a pain?

[–] moobythegoldensock@infosec.pub 2 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago)

Yeah, it’s super difficult. /s

The hardest part is remembering to uncheck Debian DE if you don’t want GNOME.

Debian installer

Almost certainly not ... it's just one of the things I'd look for in a distro.

Finally the distro I’ve been waiting for

Ah, a blast from the past that which gets a modern touch! I remember Hannah Montana Linux and it looks as girly pop as ever.

the funny thing is the creators video on it is actually probably one of the best tutorials for customizing KDE.

[–] rhythmisaprancer@quokk.au 4 points 3 weeks ago

I thought this was a pretty new thing, and I have been using Linux longer than it has been around. Clearly I have not hopped distros enough.

The author's video is a good intro to theming KDE, I learned a lot from it.

Thanks, but I think I'll stick with Oxygen.

We are so back

[–] Lost_My_Mind@lemmy.world -1 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

And I was downvoted for saying there are too many variations of linux distros.

[–] Ludicrous0251@piefed.zip 6 points 3 weeks ago

Seriously, why would anyone waste their time developing anything else when perfection already exists?
