So. Apart from the obvious which is leaving it in gear so it dosnt roll back does anyone have any recommendations for a ground anchor that ALSO holds one of the wheels tight so I don't have to leave this on the side stand? I want space to get the bins etc. past easily.

(I'm assuming that is safe to do?) - like you see push bikes in parking racks.

Wheel chock? Could get one with holes and anchor it into the ground. If they're good enough for transport, probably good enough on the ground.

Or track stands plus a chain to secure? I do it that way for winter storage to keep the wheels off the ground.

Awesome ideas. Thankyou!

Didn't know the word wheel chock so couldn't find anything.

You can put it on a wheel stand:

Do those just attach 'as is' or do you need to install something on the bike for it to clip to?

Some of them go directly under the swingarm, some need spools, some need specific adapters. Just depends on bike + stand model

They just fit around the swing arm or the axle bolt. Nothing else necessary as long as you get the right width for your bike

Does the bike not have a center stand?

Then you need either a bolted down chock or one of those paddock stands that lifts the wheel by your axle bolts. You could always lean it on that wall like a dirt bike on a tree, handlebar to the wall.
