Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Ignoring the threesome thing, Trump is desperate to give himself every award he can think of. I think he wants to be one of those dictators whose dress clothes are covered in medals.

As always, Donald Trump is all show and no substance. America would have been far better off had we just decided to leave the Presidency and Vice Presidency vacant for four years.

He dodged his military service, that should make him ineligible

[–] pressedhams@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 3 days ago

Im sure that caveat would stop him. You should write him a letter.

How does the US ever recover from this clown show?

Whatever credibility, honour, dependability, integrity, or decency it had, has been systematically thrown out the window and steamrolled Worldwide.

No matter who comes next, the whole thing is irreparably tarnished now.

A month or two of normalcy will make people forget about all the brazen bullshit happening now. I just hope we get there.

Americans yes. With Biden I was so happy I didn’t have to wake up every morning to see what bat shit crazy thing the president had said the day before.

The rest of the world… and the fact we fucking did it twice no less… it’s gonna take a decade or more to trust us again. Maybe more.

Replace “decade” with “generation”. At least a generation or more. I know I’m going to be teaching children that America is a no-go zone.

Don’t blame you. If shit doesn’t change I may very well leave. And I have a distinct feeling it isn’t going to change.

I hope we do not forget about all the crimes involved and that everyone involved in this crime family and maladministration is hounded by the legal system and given proper punishments, though.

We got 4 years of relative stability and recovery with Biden but Americans quickly forgot the reason they moved away from Trump and thought they needed to go back to the racist pedophile kleptocrat dictator because "Sleepy Joe" and "muh economy". I'm not at all confident the US can recover because this country is determined to go fascist one way or the other.

[–] reluctant_squidd@lemmy.ca 1 points 3 days ago

I sincerely hope you are right.

[–] Malyca@lemmy.zip 2 points 3 days ago

We don't. All empires fall, this is our turn. Hopefully what comes next is better.

I am NOT a merry man!

Creepier that everyone laughs

This guy is just aching to give out utterly meaningless shiny trinkets to himself and his family.

JFC, I guess the billions are not enough for this assclown and his crime family.

[–] billwashere@lemmy.world 12 points 3 days ago

I have never seen someone who is so in desperate need of praise. At this point it’s gone past pathetic.

[–] 4grams@awful.systems 8 points 3 days ago

So, in other words, he is definitely going to give himself and his sons this award, and the republicans will happily go right along with it.

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 5 points 3 days ago

Tinpot dictator doing tinpot dictator things. Gonna end up dressing up like Idi Amin or Gaddafi by the end of this...

Is the painting supposed to be a subtle jab at Napoleon with the original depiction of Napoleon crowning himself painted over? Or is that genuinely a change in composition?

[–] TryingToBeGood@reddthat.com 1 points 3 days ago

dunno; wikipedia does say that he had to change some things in the painting at Napoleon's whims.
