That is the last thing a corgi needs. This is a war crime in the making. Their limited top speed was the only factor keeping a lid on things.

Dangerously speedy I tell you!

I will not be fooled by corgi propaganda. If there had been a treat at the bottom, there would have been a sonic boom, followed by a shockwave of fur. That is a fully operational hypertube.

look how it gets into the tube, it's AI
not to mention the tube isn't attached to anything

Yup its AI look at the bannister where it connects to the steps, not one is the same and some are part morphed into the step

[–] glimse@lemmy.world 1 points 3 days ago

I'm not saying it's not AI but those look like normal bannisters to me. It looks "morphed" because bannisters have a maximum gap and stairs have a minimum/maximum rise and run. Meaning the bannisters don't match which makes them land at different places on each step.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but if that's AI, we're fucking cooked. I watched it zoomed in pretty far, over a dozen times. I wouldn't be surprised if there was video editing, though.

media literacy would be an important topic in schools right about now, indeed
i wouldn't be surprised if the whole thing was posted by AI "this house installed", wat?

[–] Akasazh@lemmy.world 4 points 3 days ago

So the dog goes nose first into the floor with no paws to soften the blow?

A t-shirt launcher filled with Corgi pups.

[–] Bananskal@nord.pub 5 points 4 days ago

I didn't know houses could install these things on their own. Amazing!

Oompa Loompa, doompty doo, we have a special message for you ....

[–] Lucidlethargy@sh.itjust.works 3 points 4 days ago

How come my house never installs cool things? What's the secret here?

That's a reference for the ages.

We're old 😭

[–] Beehaw_Girl@beehaw.org 5 points 4 days ago (2 children)

For several reasons I don't think that's a real photo, mostly because doggo would instinctively rather go down hindquarters first.

[–] maniacalmanicmania@aussie.zone 4 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Even though I posted a video the whole thing seems off.

[–] Beehaw_Girl@beehaw.org 1 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

Are you the OOP? Can you show us video?

Thank you. Wow. I wonder if it's ai. But if it's real, I wonder 1) how they keep it clean inside, and 2) I wonder why it's an enclosed tube, why couldn't they make it a normal slide instead of a tube.

[–] AFKBRBChocolate@lemmy.ca 2 points 4 days ago

I agree, it doesn't look right

[–] scutiger@lemmy.world 4 points 4 days ago

Uh... cross-town express?

You mean, like, labrador size?

[–] Gladaed@feddit.org 1 points 4 days ago

This is really important for the dogs continued health. Going down stairs is particularly taxing on the hips of (small) dogs.

If I am taking care of my colleague's poodle I got to carry 25kg of dog down 3 flights of stairs.
