I think we are misreading the statement. "It may never be known" doesn't mean "nobody knows". It means "it may never be known by you because I and the whole administration are going to bury this deeper than the missing parts of the Epstein files".

It's a truthful statement for once. Shitty, immoral but truthful.

[–] Yerbouti@sh.itjust.works 21 points 1 day ago

I have zero doubt he actually enjoyed it when it happened. Made him feel powerful.

[–] MrEff@lemmy.world 21 points 1 day ago

Alternatively: President says it may never be known who is at fault for presidentially authorized strike on war crime target.

[–] MalReynolds@slrpnk.net 135 points 1 day ago (1 children)

It was you. You started the war, you're responsible. Mass murderer.

[–] Dryad@lemmy.world 26 points 1 day ago

Remember though his ego is made of glass and taking responsibility for anything ever would shatter the whole thing. He’s literally psychologically incapable of doing so.

[–] s@piefed.world 83 points 1 day ago

It’s giving

[–] anon_8675309@lemmy.world 40 points 1 day ago (3 children)

It’s a war he started. The buck stops with him.

[–] fizzle@quokk.au 11 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Exactly. What kind of fucking spineless head of state doesn't take responsibility for casualties of war.

The buck stops with him.

Lol yeah that's not how it works with this guy

[–] III@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

Inspiring leaders always refuse any responsibility and push blame onto others. It is a mark of a great man. /s

[–] Diplomjodler3@lemmy.world 40 points 1 day ago

Translation: they know exactly who did it.

[–] PacketPilgrim@thelemmy.club 11 points 1 day ago

The buck stops at the white house. That is what good leadership looks like but I digress. The truth is that this school was selected by a mix of AI/Palantir Generated target list and just went to human eyes for a checkbox to launch the strikes. Nobody really looked into the fact that the target became a girls school. Years ago it was a military target which is why it likely got pulled into the list. They mentioned that it used to be military related on Aljazeera News. So AI SLOP STRIKE.

[–] Reygle@lemmy.world 12 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Our people transport weapon to vicinity of target, program, (with the supposed help of AI and insanely outdated information without verification, then approve deployment of the weapon, fire weapon

"we'll never know who is responsible!"

[–] mrodri89@lemmy.zip 15 points 1 day ago

Not suspicious at all. Hes such an idiot.

[–] NocturnalMorning@lemmy.world 13 points 1 day ago

It was you, you caused it. Everybody knows that.

[–] Thebeardedsinglemalt@lemmy.world 19 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Much like the boss who takes credit for a successful project but blames the fuck out of everyone else if it's not successful

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 5 points 1 day ago

Like almost every boss I've ever had. I remember the exceptions because they were so rare.

[–] DarkFuture@lemmy.world 9 points 1 day ago

Felon, rapist, pedophile, and child murderer Donald Trump.

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 15 points 1 day ago

Translation: Trump wants it never to be known who was at fault, because it was him.

[–] Kazumara@discuss.tchncs.de 11 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Wow I thought he meant they couldn't figure out who did the targeting (which I wouldn't have believed either), but no, he's actually trying to disclaim the entire rocket!

"Somebody said it was our missile, maybe it wasn't our missile but I have seen nothing to lead me to believe ‌it was," Trump remarked, adding: "I don't think it was us."

[–] perviouslyiner@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

"might have been ome of those other tomahawk owners"

sure, lets look at Denmark and Australia to see how active they were in this conflict...

[–] ayyy@sh.itjust.works 5 points 1 day ago

He sounds exactly like when Putin shot down that passenger plane.

[–] SoupBrick@pawb.social 28 points 1 day ago
[–] AbsolutelyNotAVelociraptor@piefed.social 23 points 1 day ago (1 children)

It's quite simple, pedohitler: it was either you or bibi the nazi. Most probably, both.

[–] naeap@sopuli.xyz 9 points 1 day ago

Maybe just Grok told them, as it's seemingly used as well

[–] magnue@lemmy.world 8 points 1 day ago

Just like the Epstein files

[–] emmy5482@quokk.au 14 points 1 day ago (1 children)

May not be proven, but we know it was trump

[–] Bogus007@lemmy.zip 3 points 1 day ago

If he would be Pinocchio, his nose would be ranging to the Mars and probably back. No need for Elon to create a shuttle then except a train shuttle on the nose.

[–] brown567@sh.itjust.works 5 points 1 day ago

Maybe it's written in the Epstein files somewhere

Didn't Iran already publish list of people involved?

[–] TryingToBeGood@reddthat.com 3 points 1 day ago (2 children)

but weren't they pulling pieces of US missiles out of the rubble?

[–] ms_lane@lemmy.world 3 points 18 hours ago* (last edited 18 hours ago)

Yes, it was a US strike.

Fault could potentially be iffy, but the buck stops with Trump for authorising the strike.

The building in question was only converted to a girls school months before the strike, it was an IRGC command centre prior to that. Iran did the change knowing full well the US would hit it.

But no matter what, Trump authorised the strike, US could have done more due diligence they have the best surveillance money can buy, they could have checked first. They didn't. Innocent girls and teachers died.

[–] MBech@feddit.dk 1 points 1 day ago

What a mystery!

[–] Jaysyn@lemmy.world 8 points 1 day ago

You were, asshole.

[–] GalacticRobot@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago

We investigated ourselves and found nothing wrong!

[–] RIotingPacifist@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I hope someone with decent aim does the thing and it is never known who took out the person at fault for the strike on the girls' school in Iran

[–] brown567@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 day ago

He wants his name on the Kennedy center so bad, I know of some potential common ground that'd make me fine with it

[–] Malyca@lemmy.zip 3 points 1 day ago

He's already admitted to using grock to attack.

[–] Siegfried@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago

"... so israel can rest assured"

[–] rayyy@piefed.social 6 points 1 day ago

A chronic liar lies again. Slow real news day.

[–] Quacksalber@sh.itjust.works 6 points 1 day ago

I already read a leak claiming that an AI chose the school as a valid target based on outdated data. This matches with the claim that xAI helped firing 12k munitions. Has this been proven wrong?

[–] tirateimas@lemmy.pt 7 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Who was in charge? Who started the war? We all know who is responsible for this tragedy.

Let's take it as absolutely true.

That means that the Commander-In-Chief is unable to get accurate reports from the front lines.

Which means he is incompetent to do his job, and should resign.

[–] tacoplease@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

The school of daughters of high ranking Islamic Guards was a selected target with the intention of demoralizing the IG leaders by killing their daughters.

Wait until it's time for the Find Out phase of revenge that's still to come.

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 4 points 1 day ago

Yeah, killing the children of your enemies is definitely something Trump and/or Hegseth would get off on. Netanyahu too. Ben Gvir would be creaming his pants.

Wait until it’s time for the Find Out phase of revenge that’s still to come.

May justice be done, for once.

[–] some_guy@lemmy.sdf.org 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

You know, he's right. I thought it had to be us (USA). Or our lunatic ally (israel). I mean, these were the combatants waging war. But it could have been anyone. Maybe Poland bombed the school? Or Uruguay? Canada is looking shifty…

It was probably those Heard Island penguins framing Trump to get back at him for imposing those tariffs on them.

[–] brown567@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 day ago

Fun fact, if you bomb the shit outta someone completely unprovoked, I'll still put the blame for any deaths caused by their defenses squarely on you
