Billionaires get away with murder. Epstein didn't kill himself either.

he's not even dead most likely

Elites fuck children, do gay stuff in secret because they're ashamed, yet they push hard to monitor US and OUR CHILDREN. Why? Because they assume we're like them.

[–] anon_8675309@lemmy.world 2 points 2 hours ago

No, they want to watch us so they will know if we’re coming for them.

How does Thiel get a pass for being gay WHILE promoting NAZI bullshit? I don't get why the christian nationalist give him a pass but any other LGBT person gets heavily persecuted

[–] philpo@feddit.org 18 points 6 hours ago

The hypocrisy of Nazis is beyond me at this point.

The leader of the German far right party is a lesbian woman living in Switzerland and is married to a woman who is of Sri Lankan ancestry (adopted as a child).

I'm reminded of one of Roy Cohn's monologues in Angels in America.

Your problem is that you are hung up on words, on labels: "gay", "homosexual", "lesbian." You think they tell you who a person sleeps with, but they don't tell you that. Like all labels, they refer to one thing and one thing only: Where does a person so identified fit in the food chain? In the pecking order. Not ideology or sexual taste, but something much simpler: clout. Who owes me favors. Not who I fuck or who fucks me, but who will pick up the phone when I call. To someone who doesn't understand this, homosexual is what I am because I sleep with men, but this is wrong. Homosexuals are not men who sleep with other men. Homosexuals are men who, in 15 years of trying, can't get a pissant anti-discrimination bill through City Council. They are men who know nobody, and who nobody knows.

The real Roy Cohen didn't consider himself gay, he just liked to sexually dominate young blond men. That was a sign of his masculinity.

It should be noted that when he mentored Donald Trump and Roger Stone, they were both young blonde men.

[–] theacharnian@lemmy.ca 6 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

Holy fuck that's profound.

Angels in America is a very good play that, I think, has only gotten better over time.

HBO produced it as a TV miniseries with Al Pacino playing Roy Cohn back in 2003. There's also a 2017 revival with Nathan Lane in the role. Either are 100% worth checking out.

[–] square@lemmy.zip 3 points 8 hours ago

Thanks for the recommend, I'm looking forward to watching it. I don't know how I missed this, it was back when I still assumed everything HBO produced was good.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 1 points 7 hours ago

I haven't seen the play, but the HBO production was INCREDIBLE.

[–] BilSabab@lemmy.world 10 points 10 hours ago

its bad for everyone else but not for him basically. don't try to find logic - its a matter of privilege.

[–] whaleross@lemmy.world 6 points 10 hours ago

Why would they not? It is tradition that the left wing is split by minor differences in ideology while the right wing are united by hate regardless how contradictory otherwise.

He is a useful idiot and ultra wealthy and ultra powerful and ultra influential and ultra useful on top of being an ultra idiot. They don't have to embrace him, only let him do his thing until he is no longer useful. Fascism must always have enemies and when they are without the external ones they will turn on each other.

[–] lumettaria@sopuli.xyz 3 points 10 hours ago

I've been wondering the same thing, and came to a conclusion that he's a white christian nationalist above all else. Christian nationalists love a nazi, identity politics only matter when it's not "one of us". Moreover, he doesn't promote gay or trans rights, because he's above all that could technically hinder him if he wasn't megarich. He doesn't care, because it doesn't affect him. He's already won.

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 points 10 hours ago

Those kinds of rules aren't for the billionaire class

[–] sureshot0@discuss.online 2 points 10 hours ago

My guess is because all these guys are on the down low anyway

[–] OpenPassageways@lemmy.zip 2 points 10 hours ago

My guess is that the hate for trans people is giving people like Thiel an opportunity to "punch down" on a minority that is even more hated by the right.

he was defenestrated in florida, after he was voicng his concern about thiels anti-lgbtq+ inititive by helping the gop. the last thiel want his MODEL bf to publically denounce THiel, which hurts his image in helping the gop. this was also immediately buried on most platforms that reported his death.

[–] WhyDoYouThinkThat@lemmy.world 18 points 11 hours ago

to a layperson it sounds like his gay conservative lover killed him for speaking out against injustice

[–] ChaoticEntropy@feddit.uk 12 points 15 hours ago

I mean... it sounds like he lived under mysterious circumstances too.

[–] Fedizen@lemmy.world 30 points 21 hours ago (1 children)

You know I wonder if the elections in florida are rigged so none of the creepy billionaires who live there can be investigated/prosecuted. Somebody should run there on reopening suspicious death cases.

[–] tristynalxander@mander.xyz 2 points 11 hours ago

There's no statute of limitations on murder.
