It was worth it for him, to get shot, so that we can own guns. I'm just happy he's happy

[–] DarkFuture@lemmy.world 85 points 1 week ago (2 children)

And no one is happier than his wife.

Do you think the couch fucker was already banging her while his body was still warm?

[–] vaultdweller013@sh.itjust.works 28 points 1 week ago

Dude I think he was banging her while his body was still pumping blood.

Sparkly pants suit? Check.

Acting like an angry theater kid 24/7? Check.

Telling women that they shouldn't be getting degrees or careers (whole having both)? Check and fucking check!

Worth it for me, too. I'm entirely wiling to sacrifice Mr. Charlie so that I can own guns.

Under a giant banner that read "Prove me wrong". Sometimes the stars align and deliver cosmic irony that no writer can compete with.

[–] meejle@piefed.world 24 points 1 week ago (1 children)

His last word was "violence" 😬

I mean we can blame the stars or one man’s excellent planning and comedic timing.

I don't like AI or saving/sharing AI images, but I made an exception for this one.

I was in a doctor's office waiting room when it happened and I'm not the slightest bit ashamed to say that I felt pure elation. Unfiltered joy.

Wasn't the "bigger" argument that it was trans people? And then there was news about the shooter allegedly having a trans partner (no idea if it was ever confirmed or not).

Almost makes it better honestly

He was asked what portion of gun crimes were by trans people, and he retorted with "are we counting gang violence?"

So he was losing an argument about trans people and was trying to shift to blaming black people.

Charlie died the way he lived. Spewing bullshit.

Equating gang violence with black people is racist as shit.

Admittedly that dog whistle was an assumption I made. He didn't finish his thought.

Indeed. It's a common dogwhistle the conservative talking heads have entrenched in modern discourse. Obviously, white gangs exist, but the act of mentioning gang violence while talking to a predominantly young, white crowd will water the seed in their mind that the other is the problem.

Take a look at any Fox News segment that covers gang violence. Guarantee any mugshots or arrest videos shown during such segments do not show ANY white detainees. It's deliberate. If they ever show a white person arrested, they will absolutely frame the segment differently, and won't utter that phrase.

Since the "war on drugs" designed to target minorities is less effective now, they branched out to calling it the war on gang violence.

All those trans gang members out there committing gun crimes! Why ... there's probably nearly half a dozen of them in the country!

"counting or not counting gang violence" *proceeds to lean left

I mean I'm sure he'd be fine with that collateral damage but his whole "gang violence negates white mass shooters" was an argument he repeated often.

Deoxygenation is a type of change. He should have been more specific.

Do we all forget that they were going to lynch anyone who said anything disagreeable on social media? They made a tracking site and everything.

[–] Omegamanthethird@lemmy.world 12 points 1 week ago (2 children)

I won't forget the 24 hours after when all I saw were people celebrating his murder and people literally trying to convince Republicans to start murdering Democrats. Then they realized they could get people fired for showing the wrong emotion and all the murder talk simmered down.

So people got fired for being happy a prick died. But to my knowledge, nobody was fired for trying to get people to commit murder.

a mormon kid that the right, and erika kirk refuses to BLAME at all, because it ruins their narrative that its a "leftist that shot him".

It's so tragic that he made himself an absolute piece of shit who got what he deserved. This and Luigi are two wonderful examples of people on the internet responding enthusiastically to events that make them feel good for quite obvious reasons.
