I was in the outskirts of Phoenix at the time. It definitely wasnβt the greatest light pollution wise, but definitely better compared to bright as fuck NJ where I live.
20 mins north of Cooperstown NY is still the best sky watching I have ever seen. Thatβs the only time I have seen the Milky Way in person.
I could see it as a young'n in rural NM. I want to visit a dark sky location but there arent any (in level 1 class sky) within a ~15hr drive :/
