Help small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) access public compute to strengthen commercialization and adoption.

So the government is going to blow a ton of cash on depreciating AI hardware with my tax dollars?

Canada ranked very low among 47 countries on AI training and literacy as well as trust in AI systems.

AI training is literally a scam. I work with, there’s nothing to train.

And not trusting it is the objectively correct position. That’s a good thing.

The federal government intends to work with AI providers to help Canadian post-secondary students access AI agents from trusted providers.

Why? Which providers? Fuck.

Canada will ground its AI future in "responsible governance"

So, good but open models, hello regulatory capture.

Additionally, Canada will "advance work" on AI transparency, including watermarking AI-generated content so Canadians are better aware when they interact with the technology.

So foreign actors and companies will be fine, but Canadians will only be able to run approved workflows?

Good luck innovating with that.

This whole thing reads “we’ll be good little AI serfs to the US corps.”
