I'm laughing at the all the bro dozers right now. They never learn and keep buying gas hogs.

[–] AbsolutelyNotAVelociraptor@piefed.social 29 points 4 hours ago (3 children)

I've started to see what looks like an european version of the F150 called ford ranger in here in Italy. In fucking Florence of all places!

i mean, have you ever played Assassin's creed 2? THAT Florence, because the old part of the town is virtually identical. And you bring such a beast here? Mate, there are streets here that are too narrow for a bloody Smart! And you pretend to drive that here? You are just that dumb, right? How small and insecure must make your tiny dick feel to buy a fucking american truck to drive in a town like this?!

[–] LadyMeow@lemmy.blahaj.zone 8 points 2 hours ago (2 children)

The ranger is just another truck made by ford, not really a European specific thing. We see them here in the US. It’s smaller than the F150.

[–] Pat_Riot@lemmy.today 7 points 2 hours ago (2 children)

Though the current Ranger is pretty close to the size of an F-150 from the 90s. Rangers used to be small like the S10 Chevy or Mazda B2200.

[–] THE_GR8_MIKE@lemmy.world 2 points 1 hour ago (1 children)

Pretty close, but in the modern day it's over a meter longer and like a foot wider. It's noticeably bigger.

[–] Pat_Riot@lemmy.today 1 points 1 hour ago

I saw them side by side at Costco. The difference is negligible.

[–] LadyMeow@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 1 hour ago

That’s true! It’s insane how big American cars are and how they just get bigger.

[–] AbsolutelyNotAVelociraptor@piefed.social 5 points 2 hours ago (2 children)

The F150 is BIGGER?! And here I was thinking you must be a special kind of idiot to buy that kind of truck... turns out there's an even specialer kind of idiot who buys an even bigger one...

[–] Commander_Keen@reddthat.com 5 points 1 hour ago* (last edited 1 hour ago) (1 children)

Don’t look up the f-450 - f-650 line. 👀

[–] dejected_warp_core@lemmy.world 1 points 34 minutes ago

Good lord. At what point do we require a CDL to drive these things?

[–] AngryCommieKender@lemmy.world 4 points 1 hour ago (1 children)
[–] MrScruff@lemmy.zip 1 points 43 minutes ago

Not saying it isn't an interesting visual representation but Jesus fucking Christ some consistency in the children height/distance would make for way better comparison.

[–] heartSagan5@lemmy.zip 1 points 1 hour ago

Yeah, there was a Ford Ranger plant here in Minnesota. We couldn’t get someone to turn it back into a factory. Now, it’s turned into condos. And it seems like Boomers are the biggest buyers who are little bitches when we want a taproom for some reason.

[–] hansolo@lemmy.today 3 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

I think I saw some dipshit with one there last year. I just figured it was the kid of the owner is the local Ford dealership. Surely no one else would spend money on one and drive it into city center, other than for the spectacle alone... right? Surely this just one guy, right?

What's funny is how relatively rare the VW Amarok is in Europe. Buy local for your shitkicker pickup truck!

[–] Tar_alcaran@sh.itjust.works 2 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

The only Amaroks I've ever seen here in the Netherlands were military camo green.

[–] hansolo@lemmy.today 1 points 2 hours ago

The most I've seen in one place was South Africa. But only ever seen white, black, or dark blue.

[–] EggInDisguise@lemmy.blahaj.zone 11 points 4 hours ago

The local small penis Hotspot has been experiencing shrinkage lately.

It's been great.

[–] gigastasio@sh.itjust.works 62 points 6 hours ago (5 children)

They haven’t given up here. I’ve seen zero decrease in the amount of Emotional Support Truck douchebaggery in my daily outings. And there’s no doubt in my mind that these are the same people angrily ripping the Trump “I did that!” stickers off the gas pumps.

Anyone who drives one of these things voluntarily can stfu about the price of literally everything.

[–] Justifier@lemmy.world 5 points 3 hours ago

What I find hilarious is I've had my finger on the car market pulse as I'm looking to get a another vehicle between now and 2028 (electric, I'll never own a gas vehicle again. An older unneutered diesel maybe, but never increasingly ethenol diluted American petrol)

The dealers near me hit a brick wall according to the websites I've been using, selling almost zero trucks since unleaded prices tipped past $4.⁰⁰ locally, and before that they were moving about 50% of their new stock of +$60,000 trucks each month, with over 85% moving before the 6 month mark which is frankly just danmed impressive that so many people can get that credited in this region

It's pretty laughable to drive about here and see a brand new 2026 GMC top trim truck in front of a 900ft² 1960's delapitated on-slab

[–] RememberTheApollo_@lemmy.world 9 points 4 hours ago (1 children)

And they're tbe same people that were snidely putting the Biden versions on the pumps a few years ago.

[–] wonderingwanderer@sopuli.xyz 5 points 3 hours ago

Even though gas prices were already high when Biden took office, and he brought them down. But somehow it was still his fault.

And then they're back to some semblance of normal by the time trump takes office, after which they proceed to skyrocket. Naw, still Biden's fault. Somehow.

[–] Return_of_Chippy@lemmy.world 12 points 5 hours ago

Yeah as a small farm owner who actually needs and uses a truck. These guys are the highest level of cringe.

[–] BonsaiBoo@lemmy.world 18 points 5 hours ago* (last edited 2 hours ago) (3 children)

It’s been a few months since I’ve had a truck come up behind my mom mini suv mobile and honk and rev angrily for literally no reason, and that was a weekly occurrence for the last handful of years. They can’t stand when people do the literal maximum speed limit in the right lane for some reason

[–] ThePantser@sh.itjust.works 14 points 4 hours ago (2 children)

Yea they all stopped trying to race my EV, I always left them in the cloud of smog they created.

[–] village604@adultswim.fan 3 points 2 hours ago

Can't beat max torque at the starting line

[–] JoShmoe@ani.social 3 points 3 hours ago

My car makes obnoxious vrum vrums into forgotten hmm hmms.

[–] W98BSoD@lemmy.dbzer0.com -2 points 1 hour ago (2 children)

They can’t stand when people do the literal maximum speed limit in the right lane for some reason.

You shouldn’t be in the left lane if you’re doing the speed limit for more than a mile.

[–] BonsaiBoo@lemmy.world 5 points 1 hour ago

Are we just sharing common sense considerate road laws? Because I made sure to explicitly say these people are raging behind me in the right lane, not left. They just seem to get on the road to be a jerk.

[–] plutopos@lemmy.zip 1 points 1 hour ago

What do you mean

[–] shininghero@pawb.social 7 points 5 hours ago

If you have a rear windshield washer sprayer, see if you can angle it straight backwards so it sprays on them.
Bonus points if you make the washer fluid yellow.

[–] JoeBigelow@lemmy.ca 9 points 5 hours ago (4 children)

My entire business is turning gasoline into the money I need to live, f350 work truck included. Got really lucky finding a 5.4 in the 1 ton frame, 25 years old, and it's still an absolute dog on fuel. And now I also have the shame of people thinking the truck is because my dick is little, which I feel any time I don't have equipment on a trailer. At least I kept the Subaru for groceries?

[–] Justifier@lemmy.world 4 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

No one cares about old trucks, and very few people are hating on them here

Its the new pavement princesses catching the smoke here, and intentionally blowing it in peoples faces irl

[–] JoeBigelow@lemmy.ca 1 points 2 hours ago

That's good because I can hardly drive it around how frequently something or other breaks. Hood latch return spring was the culprit this morning.

[–] Zwiebel@feddit.org 7 points 4 hours ago* (last edited 3 hours ago) (1 children)

How about a flatbet sprinter?

1000169465

[–] JoeBigelow@lemmy.ca 3 points 2 hours ago

That. That is fucking sexy! Is it a fuckin cabover!? I bet it gets amazing mileage. Guy I work with has a Mitsubishi flatbed for a spray truck, little 4cyl turbo diesel lugs around 500gal of water no problem.

[–] gigastasio@sh.itjust.works 12 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

You may be able to offset that judgement by keeping your truck slathered in mud and always having at least five ladders hanging off it. Says, “Shut up, I actually use this!”

[–] JoeBigelow@lemmy.ca 8 points 4 hours ago (1 children)

Bed is full of mulch and tools, does that count?

[–] ApathyTree@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 2 hours ago

Honestly just having the bed be dinged and/or dirty is plenty to me.

It’s absurd the number of trucks I’ve seen where the bed liner looks brand new, never used, on a 5-10 YO vehicle. No body damage, not even a scuff on the tailgate.

Sure it IS possible to regularly use a truck as a truck and be so careful as to not cause any damage, but it’s incredibly unlikely.

[–] youcantreadthis@quokk.au 0 points 4 hours ago* (last edited 4 hours ago) (2 children)

Sticker that says you got the smallest engine you could this isn't about your dick you really use it for work or join in and get one saying your dickreally is that small confuse us

[–] JoeBigelow@lemmy.ca 6 points 4 hours ago (1 children)

Dick is tiny, but unrelated to my need for the truck.

[–] youcantreadthis@quokk.au 2 points 4 hours ago

Oh yes do both say like my dick is so small I don't even need this truck to tell you that I just needed it for work

[–] gigastasio@sh.itjust.works 3 points 4 hours ago

Actually did see a sticker on someone’s truck that said “#smolppgng.” The self awareness was refreshing.

Nature Documentary Narrator: "The Human. A peculiar specimin within the primate kingdom..."

I actually would love a Nature Documentary style explanation about humans, as if they were just another species spotlighted in their documentary seriesXD

[–] yakko@feddit.uk 4 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

You want Baba Brinkman's "Short term mating dance" music video.

[–] jballs@sh.itjust.works 2 points 2 hours ago

Lol genuinely felt bad for the guy when they mentioned the solitary male and zoomed in on him.
