I drive a dinky little kia soul in an area dominated by pavement princess jeeps and dick compesator Ford duelies. Nothing makes my morning commute better than watching the guy in the huge lifted truck get tilted when they can't hit speed from a red light as fast as I can. You can literally feel their "custom engine work" wheezing as they push it to get up to 40. It's so fucking stupid to watch these idiots try to force something twice the size and built for hauling bricks to move as quickly as a cardboard box with adhd. I'm not even moving fast, they just can't stand to be second to something that takes any level of confidence to be seen in.
Lately though they've stopped trying and over found an even more satisfying situation. Occasionally I'll start to roll and witness the beast next to me roar and lurch only to pitter back down as they realize they can't afford to even try at this point. Slowly creeping through the intersection like a moment of inefficiency in fuel use will send them spiraling into destitution.
I know what it's like to be truely poor, and I'll do anything within my power to make sure no one ever has to experience that, but from time to time I allow myself the sick indulgence of watching people who called for suffering experience their choice first hand.
I love zipping past high octane BMW, Audi or Mercedes Cars in my dingy little VW eUP at the traffic light:)
So satisfying to get in front of them and then maintain the speed limit religiously.
