Saw a bro stealing food? No the fuck you didn't.

[–] FloatingAlong@lemmy.world 10 points 4 days ago

What is the charge? Eating a meal? A succulent hot dog meal?

[–] Ulvain@sh.itjust.works 14 points 4 days ago

ALLEGEDLY stolen hot dogs.

[–] panda_abyss@lemmy.ca 17 points 4 days ago (1 children)

He looks like he earned them

[–] QuantumSparkles@sh.itjust.works 6 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Why would you apprehend him, did someone want those back?

[–] DrBob@lemmy.ca 3 points 4 days ago

Just a cheap way to boost arrest numbers at the expense of the cutest.

Never been a clearer way to show ACAB

I'm going to search "Fox with mouthful of hotdogs" to read more about this.

[–] WhyIHateTheInternet@lemmy.world 9 points 4 days ago (1 children)

You need to search up "Fox with several weiners in mouth" to get actual results just FYI

Wiener like the city Wien, the same order of ie as in the English name Vienna

I voice typed it not sure why it spelled it that way

Try cougar too

[–] BigDanishGuy@sh.itjust.works 4 points 4 days ago

Where did it get the hotdogs? Judging by its expression, the same truck stop where it got meth for a blowjob.

[–] FoxyFerengi@startrek.website 9 points 4 days ago

The fox can have some hot dogs, as a treat

[–] tigeruppercut@lemmy.zip 5 points 4 days ago

I like how they specified stolen. Like what's the alternative, he was filling his own hot dog casings with field mice he had in cold storage?

How come, right after seeing this post, I open YouTube and get this:

How?

Cause it just happened and cute animal stories are super popular.

[–] zikzak025@lemmy.world 4 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Seems like it's just coincidence because it's a recent meme.

Could also be Google has you in a filter bubble based on browser/device fingerprint and history, but that seems a lot less likely than just the coicidence of this image of a fox with a mouthful of hotdogs blowing up various parts of the internet within the past few hours.

[–] DrBob@lemmy.ca 2 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Is it a meme? I screenshot it from a news story about Carney and electricity.

[–] zikzak025@lemmy.world 4 points 4 days ago

When I looked it up, most of the results that I saw were only a few hours old.

This appears to have been shared by CTV yesterday: https://www.ctvnews.ca/toronto/video/2026/05/13/alberta-mounties-apprehend-fox-with-stolen-hot-dogs/

[–] DrBob@lemmy.ca 2 points 4 days ago (1 children)

It's foxes all the way down.

Oh yeah, I use Firefox, that checks out.

What was his crime!? Having a meal? A succulent hotdog meal!?

[–] edgemaster72@lemmy.world 6 points 4 days ago

Maybe he bought them, maybe they were a gift, we don't fucking know, and frankly it's pretty irresponsible to just throw these sorts of unproven allegations around

[–] Agent641@lemmy.world 2 points 4 days ago

Feasting on nature's bounty

[–] iamericandre@lemmy.world 3 points 4 days ago

It was the perfect crime
