Showerthoughts

A "Showerthought" is a simple term used to describe the thoughts that pop into your head while you're doing everyday things like taking a shower, driving, or just daydreaming. The most popular seem to be lighthearted clever little truths, hidden in daily life.

Here are some examples to inspire your own showerthoughts:

Rules

  1. All posts must be showerthoughts
  2. The entire showerthought must be in the title
  3. No politics
    • If your topic is in a grey area, please phrase it to emphasize the fascinating aspects, not the dramatic aspects. You can do this by avoiding overly politicized terms such as "capitalism" and "communism". If you must make comparisons, you can say something is different without saying something is better/worse.
    • A good place for politics is c/politicaldiscussion
  4. Posts must be original/unique
  5. Adhere to Lemmy's Code of Conduct and the TOS

If you made it this far, showerthoughts is accepting new mods. This community is generally tame so its not a lot of work, but having a few more mods would help reports get addressed a little sooner.

Whats it like to be a mod? Reports just show up as messages in your Lemmy inbox, and if a different mod has already addressed the report, the message goes away and you never worry about it.

Now we can't really know whether or not it was because time travel isn't real or if no one from the future wants to make history by meeting with a pedophile.

Stephen Hawking, a pedo?

What are you talking about?

He visited Epstein Island but I also think it wasn't pedo related

He's in the Epstein files

Edit: Just because someone is mentioned in the Epstein files doesn't mean they are a pedophile. The premise of OPs post is based on the fact that Hawking is somehow associated with Epstein, which has spawned rumors (from dubious sources) about some kind of impropriety.

He is in the files with context being about his attendance to a scientific conference.

There is a viral picture of him and some women in a bikini at a party but those where verified to be his staff/caregivers.

Everyone who had contact with Epstein deserves scrutiny and should be included in investigations but simply being in the files is in no way proof of wrongdoing on its own.

Ok?

I want to see his interaction before I judge him.

If you believe being in the Epstein files makes Stephen Hawking a pedo, well that certainly explains a lot today.

I'm sorry if I implied more than I meant. I suppose information like this really deserves more context, given how inflamatory it is...

I have no idea if Steven Hawking did anything wrong, but the context for OP's post is an assumption about Hawking based on his presence in the Epstein files.

If you routinely find that nonsensical thoughts about pedophilia are intruding while you're in the shower, seek professional help. But there's no need to inflict them on lemmy.

I'm pretty sure he knew why.

I still have my invitation, for better or worse, so all we can prove is that I don't have access to time travel within my lifetime
