I don't intend this as an AMA format, but can entertain some. Rules:
You know, I'm something of a numismatist myself.
Canada and most countries rarely have special edition banknotes. I have collected plenty of quarters and a good chunk of loonies and toonies. I don't try to buy old coins, I just see what I get randomly as change and keep the ones I like.

I used to collect the coins - and by "collect" I mean I have a jar they went into.
I've sort of stopped doing that though. The only ones I saved recently are the black toonies.
