I've learned not to relay on "critics" score after several debacles and I think it's best to play the game and form your own opinion...

However...

Having played the demo, seeing the score it's getting and reading some reviews online (such as Game Watcher's), I can't help but get really hyped!

The demo has one of the best gameplays I've experienced in a while and the boss battle at the end was insanely cool.

What are your thoughts? Have you played the demo yet?

The demo was okay but I'm waiting for the fanbase to stop being fucking disgusting before I go close to buying it.

But, why? I'm not defending their actions, but why do their actions have anything to do with you enjoying it?

I have never understood this. Heard it with Undertale, too. One can always just ignore the weirdos in the fanbase?

Heard someone drop Rick & Morty for that (not for the drop in quality). I assume you wouldn't want to discuss it with creeps, but the problematic media are popular enough that it should be easy to find sensible subgroups online.

If you're insecure about public or (shitty) friends' opinion, you might also not want the association. Which I'd say is a coward thought, but I hide playing some games too.

But, why?

It truly is a mystery why I wouldn't want to play a game which was infamous for pedophiles immediately flocking toward. Indeed, why wouldn't anyone want to be associated with that?

99.9% of people aren't going to know you play it, and 99.99% of people aren't going to know about that association. You're really blowing it out of proportion, imho, but you do you.

fanbase to stop being fucking disgusting

What?

A bunch of pedos took over the main subreddit of the game, sharing lolicon art of Diana and down voting anyone that dared to criticize them into oblivion

87 on OpenCritic. If I'm being honest, that's quite a bit higher than I was expecting after playing the demo. The gameplay felt novel for about three fights before it quickly started to feel like extruded third-person shooter product.

Unless I start hearing really strong things about the story, I'll probably be waiting for a sale.

Super excited for this to come out. I also really enjoyed the demo, if they can keep up that pace and the gameplay loop continues to be as engaging through the entire run if could easily be GOTY contender.

I'm not that interested in the game but very glad people seem to be liking it.
