I mean that always depends on the person. In my opinion yes.
I feel a lot different since I have kids across the street that would probably see me. I can't be lazy or I might get indecent exposure to minors and put on a list.
Same, and their nextdoor neighbor got busted for CSAM a few months ago, so I definitely make sure my curtains are closed.
Yeah that's my philosophy as well. I'm not going to cower just in case someone happens to be looking in MY window. If they get an eyefull well whoops, stop peepin. It's not like I'm humping the windows over here
Where I live, people who close their curtains are treated with suspicion.
Why?
Obviously not applicable to bedrooms or private spaces, but it seems pretty normal in Northern-ish Europe, maybe Calvinist-influence countries, not to close curtains in the main living space. There seems to be a strong preference for natural light. And with how rainy or dark the sky can be depending on the time of year, people try to maximize natural lighting.
