You do know you can wash both sides, right?

[–] BurgerBaron@piefed.social 5 points 1 day ago

Facing away is my default position when not actively rinsing anything. Either half these comments are trying to be funny with their quips about washing their whole body or they take the faster showers in the world with no soak/relax time

[–] SelfHigh5@lemmy.world 36 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I’m like a rotisserie chicken in there

[–] anon_8675309@lemmy.world 9 points 2 days ago

This is the way.

I have a rain shower

It's quite wonderful

[–] thesohoriots@lemmy.world 133 points 2 days ago (3 children)

Rotate like a pillar of shawarma

[–] SCmSTR@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 1 day ago

While rocking left and right how Ray Charles does

[–] Hossenfeffer@feddit.uk 38 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Pfft. Beginner.

Rotate like a rotisserie chicken.

[–] bluesheep@sh.itjust.works 15 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Amateur hour. I start to spin around like a gyroscope the moment I set foot in the shower

[–] Anarki_@lemmy.blahaj.zone 21 points 2 days ago (2 children)

I stand still and the shower revolves around me.

[–] luthis@lemmy.nz 7 points 2 days ago

Relativistically accurate

[–] Master@sh.itjust.works 4 points 2 days ago

I spin too... have you ever tried spinning in opposite direction... really fucks with your head.

[–] Vanth@reddthat.com 46 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I spin right round like a record, baby.

[–] Nurse_Robot@lemmy.world 19 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Right round right round????

[–] Vanth@reddthat.com 6 points 2 days ago

Right into lovin' arms.

Except not, because shower sex is horrible. The loving arms can respect my space and wait until after I'm done showering, baby.

[–] njm1314@lemmy.world 16 points 2 days ago (1 children)

OP please tell me that you don't just wash one side of your body.

[–] Apytele@sh.itjust.works 4 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

I rotisserie chicken when I'm actually washing myself (and take down there hose to wash my genitals) but if I'm taking a hot shower to self soothe / emotionally regulate I face away.

Rotate. Why would you just wash one side?

[–] Soulphite@reddthat.com 26 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I cling to the ceiling like a frightened cat.

You must be my local spider. Sorry about the view.

[–] IWW4@lemmy.zip 30 points 2 days ago

I start facing and rotate as I wash different areas.

[–] spacesatan@leminal.space 2 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (2 children)

I think people are vastly overestimating the amount of rinsing required for a shower. Scrubbing with soapy water is like 99.9% of the shower. You don't need a constant hose blast of fresh water to have enough water to do that and actually is probably removing the soap too early.

To answer the question, away because I'm not a sicko. But obviously turning to rinse when needed.

[–] Noodle07@lemmy.world 1 points 19 hours ago

Aren't people turning the water off when scrubbing themselves with soap ??

[–] cockmushroom@reddthat.com 1 points 23 hours ago* (last edited 23 hours ago)

I'm not a sicko

It's literally just tap water?

[–] ikidd@lemmy.world 11 points 2 days ago

Upside down so I get a good undercarriage wash.

[–] ductTapedWindow@lemmy.zip 7 points 2 days ago

Away, unless I'm stomping the turd down the drain, then I guess I'm facing towards it

I tend to face away while soaping up, and I face the water when I'm rinsing off. I also shave in the shower, and I do that facing away.

[–] Nemo@slrpnk.net 13 points 2 days ago (2 children)

I rotate like a rotisserie chicken.

[–] Hossenfeffer@feddit.uk 10 points 2 days ago

I scrunch down in the shower tray like a spatchcock chicken.

Underneath? It's a "rain" shower, it doesn't matter how I stand.

[–] hereiamagain@sh.itjust.works 1 points 23 hours ago

I don't care for those, not enough pressure for me to effectively wash away soap.

I start by rotating for even heating. Soap my hair facing away, rinse it facing. Wash face facing. Conditioner hair away. Step completely out of the water to quickly scrub neck to feet with soapy loofa. Facing to rinse hair/face. The rotating and rinsing top to bottom.

Done. In and out in 5-10 minutes depending on how dirty I was, and therefore how hard I had to scrub.

I used to use a valve on the head itself to turn off the water completely during scrubbing, but I didn't get a new one when I moved so I got out of the habit.

I should buy one again. Saves water, costs less.

I sit. I close my eyes and tilt my head up, letting the drops fill my ears

[–] LibertyLizard@slrpnk.net 10 points 2 days ago

Predominantly away, unless whatever cleaning I'm doing requires otherwise.

[–] Kolanaki@pawb.social 12 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I turn around so both sides can get clean...

Depends what I'm scrubbing

[–] Grail@multiverse.soulism.net 6 points 2 days ago

I go up and down while spinning like a yo-yo
