Rules:
1. Be civil
Attack the argument, not the person. No racism/sexism/bigotry. Good faith argumentation only. This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban. Do not respond to rule-breaking content; report it and move on.
2. All posts should contain a source (url) that is as reliable and unbiased as possible and must only contain one link.
Obvious biased sources will be removed at the mods’ discretion. Supporting links can be added in comments or posted separately but not to the post body. Sources may be checked for reliability using Wikipedia, MBFC, AdFontes, GroundNews, etc.
3. No bots, spam or self-promotion.
Only approved bots, which follow the guidelines for bots set by the instance, are allowed.
4. Post titles should be the same as the article used as source. Clickbait titles may be removed.
Posts which titles don’t match the source may be removed. If the site changed their headline, we may ask you to update the post title. Clickbait titles use hyperbolic language and do not accurately describe the article content. When necessary, post titles may be edited, clearly marked with [brackets], but may never be used to editorialize or comment on the content.
5. Only recent news is allowed.
Posts must be news from the most recent 30 days.
6. All posts must be news articles.
No opinion pieces, Listicles, editorials, videos, blogs, press releases, or celebrity gossip will be allowed. All posts will be judged on a case-by-case basis. Mods may use discretion to pre-approve videos or press releases from highly credible sources that provide unique, newsworthy content not available or possible in another format.
7. No duplicate posts.
If an article has already been posted, it will be removed. Different articles reporting on the same subject are permitted. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.
8. Misinformation is prohibited.
Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.
9. No link shorteners or news aggregators.
All posts must link to original article sources. You may include archival links in the post description. News aggregators such as Yahoo, Google, Hacker News, etc. should be avoided in favor of the original source link. Newswire services such as AP, Reuters, or AFP, are frequently republished and may be shared from other credible sources.
10. Don't copy entire article in your post body
For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.
It's almost like we shouldn't have struck out of our own best interests.
It’s like every person that supports Trump sees him actively not give a shit about anybody and they think “He’ll care about me when the time comes though.”
This is a big part of why I’m not traveling anymore; how am I to know if he will just decide to randomly attack the country I’m visiting while I’m there? While I’m away, he can just decide that everyone returning to the country will need their phones searched at the border, or liberals aren’t welcome back in the country anymore and none of the dipshits in congress will do anything to rein him in and it’ll take a year before the Supreme Court hears a case and they’ll just end up siding with him anyway.
US citizens can't be denied entry. But everyone knows he doesn't care about that piece of paper called "the constitution".
Literally every single person in that administration is a Sociopath, and they just don't care about other people, at all, so it NEVER occurred to any of them to give a single advance thought about any Americans who might be over there.

Forget a backup plan. Their main plan was half-baked, at best.
That's the true genius of this whole thing. If you don't have a plan at all, then there's no logical way to have a backup plan. Just think about all of the time and mental exertion you can save by just turning off your brain and doing whatever Russia and Israel command you to do.
Trump's final plan will be to simply put American armed forces directly under the command of Putin and Netanyahu. That way, he can conserve his precious little brain power to run his crypto scams.
The us plan was literally:
If Israel attacks without us, Iran might attack US bases. So US should just attack with Israel.
No part of the "plan" addressed that Iran would logically attack US bases.
Bibi just told Trump it was a solution so that was enough for trump.
It just guaranteed the bad result they thought might happen. But if just Israel had attacked, it's likely that would have been the only place Iran counter attacked.
I think Trump and his cronies literally thought this would be a Venezuela. They thought "Oh, we just kill the supreme leader and Iran becomes our lapdog".
It also probably helped that the Elisons likely promised trump a new mansion.
A large part of the benefit of being an American taxpayer when living or working abroad was that the USA would absolutely your back diplomatically and use the power of the government to extricated you back to the USA if there were difficult diplomatic situations or in times of violence/war.
If trump is just giving those Americans the finger when they need this help, that would be a severe reduction in the benefit of continuing to be a US citizen outside of the USA.
Are there really still people who believe that this regime cares about anything other than shameless self-enrichment?
It was already like that during the Orange Pedo’s first term in office.
How can anyone still believe that he even remotely considers the people in his shady dealings?
Backup plan? He didn't have a front-up plan. He got railroaded into it by Israel because they pulled the Kompromat out and told him to get in line at the last minute.

I'm not sure that the public believes oil tankers are safe. Are these built so that the front doesn't fall off?
