With the disclaimer that I'm not at all sad that Khomeini was a casualty, Trump's illegal war against Iran is set to provoke some real attacks in, probably, quite short order.
Khomeini has been dead for 36 years. Khamenei is the guy who was just killed.

The follow-up is, "Why?"
Some people say they want a terror attack, to get emergency declarations and steal the midterms. I just hope this is not true. A lot of innocent people would die for few remain in power. I don’t know what to believe anymore.
Fascists are in power. That's enough to believe in while you go look for historical examples of fascists being peacefully voted out of office. That ought to keep you busy until oh, his fourth term.
If Iran were to destroy Mar A Lago, I think we could let it slide.

Why would this be a shock to anyone? He let hundreds of thousands of Americans die to covid.
Trump is just trying to bring more people onto the side of supporting his illegal war on Iran by proposing an unrealistic risk of danger to the U.S.

I say he is preparing the people for an ‘act of terror by Iran’, meaning there is going to be a false flag incident. He can then use that to claim war powers and dismantle the last sliver of US-American democracy.

There was some alledged Iranian in Austin last weekend. They claim the guy was wearing an Irani tee shirt.
Same with the religious spin ‘this is a holy war’ crap. If you frame this as god’s plan, then being against the war is being against said plan and god. This is an attempt to bring back the Republicans who naturally oppose this war.
