Everyone gets "lol", but stop with the fucking bullshit. You guys have full keyboards. Not the shit we had with out 90's phones. Grow up.
abbreviations are a normal part of human language, and have been around since long before the 90s
They are right though, we came up with lol and stuff like that because texting on a keypad was tedious. Its not really useful in the way it was back then, its just stuck around from popular use.

Ah fair enough, I have actually heard of all of those, but I've never played any of them. I think Assassin's Creed is the only one you can really use without mentioning the name first, but true, even then it's too ambiguous.

can you make a valid sentence using the same acronym multiple times but with different meanings?
Most users of LAME are lame unless they are LAME; and it's even more commendable when LAME.
It's a defence mechanism. I want to scare people away from trying to participate in a topic they know nothing about but feel like an expert in. Those that do know about the acronyms are worth the while.
