The San Francisco Police has decided unilaterally to stop doing their job.

They are no longer enforcing traffic laws.

Speed cameras were deployed last year. Unlike cops, they don't go on strike.

Keeping the working man in line. Or preserving the status quo.

We have lots of speed cameras and red light cameras in Australia. Let the police focus on real crime, while the cameras work 24/7.

A big part of police budgets is that they are expected to deal with all the shitty design problems of roadways but that budget isn't considered part of the roadway budget. A significant number of speeding tickets and traffic accidents are contributed to by unsafe designs.
