Oh there's the problem you never had him neutered, not a problem I can do a quick snip and have him back in 15 minutes, don't forget to make him wear this cone.
Anaesthesia? No, no... We just do a local.
General anesthesia is very hard to get right, and requires a dedicated specialist with years of experience monitoring you at all times and even then people occasionally die from it.
When I get surgery from an alien veterinarian, IDC what it is I'll stick to local anesthesia.
While I appreciate the logic, for me personally, if I'm going to be forcibly castrated by a Zoidberg either way, I'll take that risk.
