She'll never survive a primary.

[–] Quexotic@infosec.pub 4 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

I don't know if they "Bernie" her opponent then she might.

[–] TropicalDingdong@lemmy.world 4 points 7 hours ago

I mean they can try. They pulled out every stop in NYC and couldn't stop a people powered campaign.

Whoever the progressive is going to be needs to announce, and soon. Mamdani started the day after the 24 election. I truly believe that if the DnC primary in 2016 had been a month longer, wes have had Bernie. Grass roots campaigns take longer.

Acting like the DNC will have a fair primary. They’re going to shove Harris, Newsome, or some other center-right Dem down our throat.

They're not center right anymore. We have far right and farther right.

theyll lose the election if so

[–] goferking0@lemmy.sdf.org 11 points 16 hours ago

Since when has that been a concern for them???

[–] jontree255@lemmy.world 5 points 17 hours ago

Yeah most likely. They can’t just be “not Trump” because he’s hopefully going to be dead. Also, that hasn’t really translated to success. Trump only lost 2020 because of COVID.

There won’t be a primary

[–] ToTheGraveMyLove@sh.itjust.works 23 points 19 hours ago (2 children)

Doesn't this just prove that they are in cahoots with the fascists? Nobody wants her, yet they're gonna try to shove her down our throats again when we need a real candidate who actually has a chance of winning.

[–] Soulg@ani.social 1 points 2 hours ago

I mean, not yet, she can run in the primary

[–] mattyroses@lemmy.today 15 points 18 hours ago

no, obviously it's the fault of the left for not supporting her. The Party cannot fail, it can only be failed.

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 16 points 18 hours ago (3 children)

This is just proof there is one party centered on corruption. I'm amazed they didn't try Hilary Clinton again.
