Not knowing you've been given drugs is a good start. The one and only time I ever did acid, my cousin put it in something and didn't tell me until I started feeling like I was drowning and seeing everything swirling/melting. I thought I was poisoned.
Oh yeah, that’s fucked, that’s gonna be a bad time. If you know what you’re getting into and have an environment and situation set up for it then it’s a blast, and having sailed those seas if I got slipped LSD now I think I’d be able to put things together and be fine, maybe even enjoy it, but if I didn’t know what was happening and didn’t know how to navigate those waters then I could see panic taking the wheel. Your cousin is a fucking asshole, that’s literal psychological torture.
The craziest thing was that he was one of the 3 kids my super christian aunt adopted. I never expected him to be into raves and drugs before that incident, since he was always volunteering to do churchy stuff and talked about wanting to be a pastor. Shit, maybe he actually just saw god while tripping...? 🤔
depends on the dose, if someone chugged water to get themselves above 100ug then they'd notice. but if they stayed ~50ug for the first few days then indeed nobody would notice, especially because after said week they'd have enough tolerance for that amount to do fuck all

I'm like 50% certain (as someone who has not partaken in the substances which I'm about to talk out my ass regarding) that OOP must've simply meant something less... kosher, shall we say -- PCP? Bath salts? Cocaine? Some other drug that would actually account for the insanity? As far as I know LSD is a vastly more pleasant experience than whatever the fuck is going on in the world right now, unless you're taking really massive doses, in which case... I think things would be arguably less coherent, though you've absolutely got me stumped as to how the current news cycle could be more insane than it already is.
Like, I know MKULTRA isn't that obscure, but I also think it's possible they just don't know their drugs.
I mean it CAN be pretty dark traumatizing for sure (see Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, especially the White Rabbit scene), but either way, when you're tripping on LSD, you definitely WILL notice that something's not right. Wild visual and auditorial hallucinations, vibrant colors and rainbow patterns, up to and including synesthesia (i.e. seeing sound and hearing pictures) are all known to occur.
Even at a low dose it produced noticeable mood changes, though usually no hallucinations.
Precisely what I mean. If it were a high enough dose to notice, we'd all be tripping balls. If it weren't, I would assume everyone to just be mildly more pleasant. And uh... that is absolutely not what is happening. Nobody in the news is pleasant right now. At all. I'm certainly not having a great time, are you?

And it changes your mindset too. All the pressure of work and then watch Netflix until you pass out, and you have to buy all these coping mechanisms like gym card, nice car, nice house...
Someone who lives outside can just say no to all of that, and they get plenty of exercise just moving around more and fixing things than the ordinary city dweller.

If there would be acid in the drinking water maybe the Trump administration would see how evil and fucked up they actually are. They could use some insight and self reflection. Let's give them a cocktail of 1200 micrograms acid, shit ton pyote and loads of 5-meo-dmt.
And after they see how evil they are, they can have 5 grams of fentanyl each (yes, I know, many many more than a lethal dose, but just to be sure).
I'm not part of the administration, but could I get in on that first part, before the fentanyl?
Sounds fun but I'm sure it will melt your brain. 1200um is a macro dose on itself. Last time I had a little bit of 5-meo-dmt I puked my guts out, floating in shapes and colors while being a tree.

LSD prevents you from sleeping and your brain gets used to it where if you try taking it every day there are vastly diminishing returns
back when LSD wasn't demonised by the US government and people were free to study it - scientists found out that after about a week of taking the same dose you'd feel 0 effects. our bodies build up tolerance to LSD crazy fast
idk how true that is but i've seen people online say that if you want the same effects day after you need to double what you took the day previous
