“They say aspirin is good for thinning out the blood, and I don’t want thick blood pouring through my heart. I want nice, thin blood pouring through my heart. Does that make sense?”

Not particularly, no

[–] YellowParenti@lemmy.wtf 62 points 1 week ago

Is he fat shaming his own blood?

[–] pelespirit@sh.itjust.works 22 points 1 week ago (2 children)

If he's been taking aspirin for 25 years, wouldn't it be hard on his body to stop? I'm really curious.

[–] AbsolutelyNotAVelociraptor@sh.itjust.works 22 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Only one way to find out: let's convince him that aspirin is woke so he stops taking it! Who knows? Something fun might happen!

[–] Flatworm7591@lemmy.dbzer0.com 8 points 1 week ago (2 children)

It's just amazing he hasn't got autism yet.

[–] AbsolutelyNotAVelociraptor@sh.itjust.works 6 points 1 week ago (1 children)

That's because it was aspirine, not tylenol, duh!

Source: am autistic, and mom took tylenol when she was pregnant. I don't think it's a coincidence.

[–] ferrule@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 week ago

It is ok you don't think it's a coincidence. Your beliefs don't change reality.

[–] Mirshe@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

Or liver failure.

[–] Kirp123@lemmy.world 7 points 1 week ago (3 children)

Abruptly stopping it could lead to clots forming, so you have to lower the dose over time. But at Trump's age it's either he dies from a clot or a hemorrhage and I guess his doctors decided that a hemorrhage is the lower risk.

Also there's still ongoing research but apparently according to some studies aspirin may not even do anything for cardiovascular prevention.

Aspirin is no longer universally recommended for daily use in healthy adults for primary prevention (preventing a first heart attack/stroke) because recent research shows the risk of bleeding (especially in the gut or brain) often outweighs the minimal benefits, particularly for those over 60, though it's still crucial for secondary prevention (after a first event). Guidelines now suggest healthy people aged 40-59 should discuss it with a doctor, while those 60+ should not start it for primary prevention, emphasizing that risks increase with age.

Could be that Trump had a heart attack or stroke already, which could have happened before he was president, and they are using it for secondary prevention.

[–] pelespirit@sh.itjust.works 12 points 1 week ago

IMO, he had a couple of mini-strokes. He had that look and mouth droop. They covered his mouth with a microphone once in a video, it was fucking hilarious. It moved with his mouth like it was trying to force itself on him. He looks fine now though.

[–] Ach@lemmy.world 8 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

It's inaccurate that it doesn't do anything. What you posted doesn't say that, it says the risks outweigh the benefits - not that the benefits don't exist.

Aspirin absolutely lowers the effort exerted by your cardiovascular system, specifically your myocardial tissue, by preventing blood platelet aggregation.

But as what you cited noted, that means it also inhibits clotting, the risks of which they've understandably determined outweigh the benefits.

He’s not a „healthy adult“ though.

Yes but it’s three sizes too small.

[–] eronth@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 1 week ago (1 children)

That's why he needs the thin blood.

[–] Valmond@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 1 week ago

Of child virgins.

[–] GuyFawkesV@lemmy.world 86 points 1 week ago (2 children)

I’ve got an advance copy, below.

SpoilerTRUMP IS A FAT PIECE OF SHIT WHO SHOULD’VE DIED YEARS AGO BUT IS LIKE A COCKROACH.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 10 points 1 week ago

He's still talking about his "good genetics", FFS.

I've always found in my personal life that people that talk about their "good genetics" are typically some of the very worst of assholes. This experience seems to map very well onto Taco.

[–] IAmNorRealTakeYourMeds@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

please don't shit talk cockroaches. they are better than Trump

2026: Furniture Rapist and Chief JD Vance takes the helm of the failing United States of America after Felonious Pedo and Chief Donald Trump dies. ™©®

[–] floofloof@lemmy.ca 33 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Stephen Miller is in charge anyway. The best thing that could happen is Trump dies and everyone who is left is so repulsive even to MAGAts that MAGA falls apart.

[–] Earthman_Jim@lemmy.zip 26 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

Peewee Himmler may be in charge, but Trump is the only thing keeping the movement from imploding; it's already beginning to crack. The infighting will be all consuming after that glorious day.

[–] U7826391786239@lemmy.zip 13 points 1 week ago

they all hate each other, and most of them (as in like 99.9% of them) are unbelievably stupid. reality tv will have nothing to compete with the ensuing GOP shitshow when convicted felon rapist con man fascist dies

[–] ieatpwns@lemmy.world 6 points 1 week ago

One thing at a time

[–] Valmond@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 1 week ago

He dies, the american midterm elections in november will thus not go as planned, vance bombs the Vatican.

[–] kryptonianCodeMonkey@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

Hopefully right after the elections but before January. That way he'll live long enough to get to watch the GOP lose congress and several state legislatures/governorships (because of his uncountable failures, terrible policies, attempted treasonous autocratic takeover, and just being a fucking vile excuse for a human being) but not long enough to make JD president for less than half a term because that means he could only ever serve one more. Assuming that JD himself isn't impeached and convicted and removed from office.

i'm making it my own personal holiday--bigger than 7/4, bigger than new years, bigger than fucking christmas--when he finally fucking croaks

[–] bagsy@lemmy.world 19 points 1 week ago

The celebrations will be epic, but this shit doesnt end with him. Citzen united must be un-done and billionaires need to be taken down many, many pegs.

[–] MOARbid1@piefed.social 6 points 1 week ago

You better believe I’ll make decorations, and throw a party every single year going forward. I have never hated someone so much, and I’ve never even met the pos.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 18 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

Wait, I thought this was "the most transparent presidency [1] EVAR" according to lying liars like Karoline Leavitt?

Why all this concern about, uh, being transparent by releasing medical info?

[1] This stupid bitch seems to think that Taco being a total whore for the cameras and therefore talks to a compliant set of stenographers nearly every day, lying right to their faces, or holding Stalinist style ~~Party meetings~~ cabinet meetings where members of his cabinet take turns glazing Taco for the cameras is being "transparent". In other words, she and her cult seem to want others to adopt a very curious definition for the word "transparent".

[–] foggy@lemmy.world 10 points 1 week ago

Why ever would he be upset if he has nothing to hide?

Ah, well. So long as something pisses him off, I'm happy.

[–] lemmylommy@lemmy.world 5 points 1 week ago

Still suffering from those pesky bone spurs?

His doctors advise he take less asperin, but he ignores them. Maybe he'll get kidney damage.

[–] Gerudo@lemmy.zip 3 points 1 week ago

Why's he mad? Isn't he the perfect human specimen?

Four aspirin. Subscribing to that conservative feels-before-reals concept of “if a little isn’t doing the job, double and triple down and do it harder.”

[–] Smeagol666@crazypeople.online 2 points 1 week ago

I think I hear music... Still.

[–] DylanMc6@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 1 week ago

If the US were a socialist/communist country, would Trump be NOT elected?

[–] DylanMc6@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 1 week ago

Just release the info already.
