Turns out, normal people just don't like doing evil shit for a stunningly corrupt dictator.
They're trying the Weimar Way, not working as smoothly as they'd hoped.
The Weimar didn't have to deal with an audience that has already seen what happens to Nazis.
Not to mention that, when the Nazis overthrew the structures of their government, you could ask any supporter and they'd tell you all about how Hitler loved the German people and was passionate about restoring their national dignity.
It's getting harder and harder for even Trump's supporters to feel like he cares about them or America, let alone any undecideds that they're trying to pull in with this ad campaign.
Fair point that Trump is a hell of a lot worse at his job than Hitler was.
Hitler was a highly popular leader in Germany while Trump can't get past a 40% approval rating.

To be fair, America now has the scale and bandwidth of misinformation that the Nazis never had.
