The same process was used to make gelatine. It's still made from animal sources, just with a different process. Enjoy your desserts today, folks.
I have known this for years. Some Muslims tried getting me disgusted about the candy I was eating because it made use of gelatine derived from pig bone marrow. They were shocked I knew but didn't care.
Im going to enjoy it extra now.
