Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. 3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. 4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has been eviscerated over her refusal to help after ICE detained her nephew’s mom.

The White House official has gone radio silent since Bruna Ferreira—who is the mother of Leavitt’s nephew—was swept up by ICE this month, Ferreira’s sister, Graziela Dos Santos Rodrigues, tells the Boston Globe.

Making the matter more bizarre, Dos Santos Rodrigues revealed that some in the Leavitt family, including her child’s father, pushed her to self-deport after she was detained—back to a country where she has no home, and hardly speaks the language.

“They just kept saying, ’Tell her to self-deport,’” she told the Globe. “Self-deport to where? Brazil is not her home. They’re trying to push it off as a vacation. That’s not a vacation. Bruna barely speaks the language.”

They set this up, because she was fighting for custody for her child. And these monsters put ICE on her. All of them her brother included should be put against the wall and trailed and imprisoned for this shit.

Against the wall and shot. You know normal anti-nazi practices. Line them up with ice. :)

[–] Randomgal@lemmy.ca 2 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

You know who else did this? Nazis.

the kid gets to grow up with the person that made his mother disappear

[–] bus_factor@lemmy.world 8 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

Hope he actually cares about the kid, and isn't just fighting for custody to hurt the mother.

I remember when people would put cardboard on the pavement and spin on their head to this music. Now they just square-dance. Lazy fucking kids.

I'm so tired of slammed. Just once I want to read a headline of someone being disemboweled in a political context and mean it.

[–] velindora@lemmy.cafe 5 points 9 hours ago

kerfuffled!

[–] moody@lemmings.world 3 points 10 hours ago

One used 'skewered' a few days ago, and no, the subject of the article didn't die.

[–] ThePantser@sh.itjust.works 7 points 15 hours ago

Eviscerated!

But not literally sadly.

Being a 35 year old new mother and having a nephew's son the same age as you to worry about are just one of the joys of your father selling you off to his best friend who met you as an infant.

That shit has to be the most confusing holiday gatherings ever.

Come on and slam

And welcome to the jam
