I'm not sure any of that makes sense.
He was an extremely well paid actor for a couple of decades. Is he claiming he doesn't have enough for a comfortable retirement, and is singing to pay the bills? I don't believe that for a second.

Dirty secret about Hollywood actors is that their income can be fairly infrequent, but they often end up basing their lifestyles off their peak incomes, and a lot of them can end up in serious debt as their careers taper off. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy, if true for Spacey.

Couldn't happen to a nicer guy

TIL this phrase is always ironic! I was wondering what news I missed about Spacey's name being cleared.

Couldn't happen to a nicer guy,

I never met the guy but he beat that one accusation a ways back.

Sorry you know him personally and that it's not a good relationship.

that one accusation

Nevermind the 15+ others...

Fifteen others then came forward alleging similar abuse,[10] including Boston anchorwoman Heather Unruh, who alleged that Spacey sexually assaulted her son;[11][12] filmmaker Tony Montana; actor Roberto Cavazos;[13] Richard Dreyfuss' son Harry;[14] and eight people who worked on House of Cards.[15] The Guardian was contacted by "a number of people" who alleged that Spacey "groped and behaved in an inappropriate way with young men" as artistic director of The Old Vic theatre.[16][17][18]

And it's not like he's been cleared on all of these:

A judge in Los Angeles this summer approved an arbitrator's decision to order Spacey to pay $30.9 million to the makers of "House of Cards" for violating his contract by sexually harassing crew members.

But sure, I'm sure that a 14yo child not having the foresight to obtain and keep sufficient evidence against an older actor until they're old enough and ready to confront the issue, certainly means that the person they accused is innocent.

Homeless people are more important than this clown.

Stop siding with aggressors over victims…

A civil jury sided with Spacey over Rapp, but those allegations prompted others to accuse Spacey of improper behavior.

No criminal or civil court has ever found Spacey guilty or liable of any sexual crimes or misdeeds.

It helps to avoid convictions when all your accusers keep getting murdered
