Reminded me to check how the IceShrimp rewrite is going, they are making good progress https://iceshrimp.dev/iceshrimp/Iceshrimp.NET/releases
Neat. Never heard of it but c# is a great language!
what the hell is this now
The Lemmy devs are great IMO
well now i gotta look up pleroma
"Yeah itβs a lot like Twitter, but much more flexible."
https://pleroma.social/blog/2021/01/13/the-big-pleroma-and-fediverse-faq/
oh im not interested in microblogging, i just like to know about fedi software
Me neither. It was a direct quote from their FAQ.
It's like akkoma but rascists use it more for some reason.
^akko^ ^is^ ^a^ ^fork^ ^of^ ^pleroma^
I use akkoma for my instance instead of mastodon because it was easier and less resource heavy. honestly had no idea it was a fork of pleroma.
Honestly at the end of the day I just use stuff that is better with resources and easier to setup so Akkoma instead of Mastodon, Piefed instead of lemmy.
What does piefed have? The beans meme? Can't even think of anything since its so drama free.
Lemmy, especially its developers
Disclaimer: the original post comes from another Pleroma instance.
Lemmy has Reddit. PieFed has Lemmy.
Also, from 4chan's PoV, Reddit is more like a boogerman than a boogeyman: it's that weirdo creepo that makes you say "eew", avoid at all costs, and if you touch them by accident or social pressures ("why no handshake?"), you immediately wash your hands.
Instead the actual boogeymen are internal: for /g/ it's /a/, for /b/ and /int/ it's /pol/, and for almost everyone else it's /b/.
Thanks for its features Mbin can have both Pleroma and Lemmy at the same time!
Pleroma is very useful in that you know you can block any given server and know you didn't lose anything
Piefed and Quacks!
