General Discussion for politics in the UK.
Please don't post to both !uk_politics@feddit.uk and !unitedkingdom@feddit.uk .
Pick the most appropriate, and put it there.

Posts should be related to UK-centric politics, and should be either a link to a reputable news source for news, or a text post on this community.

Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.

If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread. (These things should be publicly discussed)

Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.

Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.

That lot is a bag of snakes that's been hit with a bat. They will snipe and bitch at each other and never get anything done.

I have no doubt the money will disappear

I want them to get it together, but mostly cos there's certain seats that Your Party will win or have a good chance of winning that the Greens won't. We need a united front but so far it's not looking great. Really needs to happen in good time before next year's local elections

Fucking hell, if even Novara are turning on them, they must be absolutely fucked.

Fractious, back-biting, unstrategic: so far, Your Party has managed to recreate the Labour party in all but scale. But that isn’t to say there aren’t signs of life. A bevy of Scottish Greens, including councillors and high-profile activists, defected to Your Party last week. Regional assemblies are set to get underway, and those will be a test of how vibrant and engaged the party membership really is. Zack Polanski has transformed the Greens into a party capable of threatening Labour in the polls, but there remains an appetite for a socialist party – not just a party that’s friendly to socialists.

That's the final paragraph. I don't think that's exactly turning on them. They've also not even properly started as a party yet so it's a bit rich to declare that they're "absolutely fucked" already.

I would love nothing more than to be wrong.
