SHOCKING

Why the fuck are we still arguing about this? Privatized necessities do not work. This has been proven for almost 200 years with our current systemic dichotomy.

I hate living in North America. This conversation should have been over forever ago but it’s still raging.

No way we could have seen that coming...

This is one of those important pieces of data that bears remembering in many different contexts: the rich will happily kill you for a buck. That's a big part of why they're rich.

Counter intuitive, dead people don't pay bills. You'd think they would ensure alive people who could be saddled with medical debt forever, thus an income stream. If i were a greedy business, I'd do it like that.

Healthy people don't pay bills either, they try to aim for a balance between almost dying and actually dead.

insurance also depends on healthy people that never uses thier insurance, hence thats why they price out older and chronically ill people.

this is political violence.

seen it when it was first being posted like 2 years ago on a sub, when user was frustrated by the lack of private physicians in her area for her child, one user said it was due to private equity and teledoc companies.

I mean it's all under RFK Jr. who doesn't really care about inconsequential little things like data.

They gotta make the evidence to show that what they want to do is right. Facts that they don’t like need to be suppressed and ignored

Maybe if hospitals would stop being sponsored by Jesus and healing by faith bullshit, they might be able to actually save people.

"WELCOME TO OUR MOTHER OF THE HOLY LORD JESUS CHRIST BAPTIST HOSPITAL, how would you like us to pray away your gaping wound today?"

This is an article about capitalist profits killing people. Take your religious crusade elsewhere please

[–] whoisthedoktor@lemmy.wtf -3 points 1 month ago (1 children)

If you don't think religion has deep roots in capitalist or at least greedy nonsense, you have issues. Maybe you have a belief in such nonsense blinding you here.

Take a step back and see the whole, big, evil picture.

[–] chuckleslord@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

Lol, that's a conspiracy theory. Need big fucking evidence for that. "Just look at the big picture" ain't evidence.

People like things, power gets you things, people with power will use that power to get more things. Kind of doesn't matter where the power comes from.

If you're thinking deeper than that, you need more supporting evidence.
