I am so disgusted with Meta that both my headsets are collecting dust.

Any guides to hack them to never talk to home again?

Or better still replace the OS?

I block it's MAC at the router to prevent internet access but I still allow it on the LAN for ALVR. The ALVR client can be side loaded so no need to let the Quest online.

Hopefully it's not spoofing a different MAC to be sneaky though. I'll have to check my router logs.

That is a nice solution. Thank you, I dont know why I wasnt thinking about that.

Is it possible to block the DNS or does that stop the functionality?

It's still pretty buggy from all reports, but maybe a sign that Deckard is actually coming.

My experience is that WiVRn is the best option at the moment since async reprojection properly works (unlike ALVR) but there is less compatibility because you have to rely on xrizer/opencomposite to play OpenVR games, which is most of them. xrizer is rapidly improving however, and already supports many more games than it did even 6 months ago.

I've been out of the VR scene for a while so I don't know nothin' about nothin', but I love the name "WiVRn."

This logo looks like a break pad.

I tested briefly and it did work, although it's far from great. I haven't tried any proper games yet though, but the first/smallest game I installed to test was VRChat and it didn't detect my controllers. I haven't tried troubleshooting at all yet, though it's nice to see progress.
